Nice work by Tatar to use his butt Jagr style to get possession then draw the penalty as he started the rush. Time for a PP goal! He may have embellished a bit, but he did a great job to get possession in the first place.

I'll take that for a first period on the road. The kid line has looked good, hopefully they get a couple tonight. Howard showed up, Alfie buried one, and Pavel has the magic hands working. PK stood tall quite nicely as well.

He's made the saves, but he just doesn't seem like he's dialed in and is fighting the puck a bit.

Quincey did well on the PK. I did get a chuckle out of his shank and slip on the one shot he took from the point. As long as Quincey and Smith aren't paired it's better for both of them. The big knock on Quincey, imho, is that he isn't nearly the offensive dman he was supposed to be in many people's eyes, and is decent defensively, but when he does make a mistake it usually gets buried in the back of the Wings' net. He definitely isn't dialed in like he has been most of the season, but I'd feel much better if the Wings were able to take advantage of that and score a few before he got it locked in.

Too funny. Good point about the pads affecting the shot. Still, with all the gear on, and the soundtrack it was almost like the derpy the clown show. The high five was quite humorous as well.

Popping in to check things briefly from work, but with the way things are going with hosting District Band, I'm going to miss the whole game due to having to drive the students' luggage to the hotel at 9, so any and all detailed descriptions of the action are greatly appreciated in advance. I'm hoping that the Wings pull it out, as being down after only giving up two shots on goal seems to indicate they controlled the period except for the DeKeyser breakdown leading to the breakaway goal. Isn't it almost scary, as bad as it has been thus far with injuries, shootout failures, etc., the boys are still in contention for the playoffs. If they get healthy, they could go on a nice run.

I did start it by mentioning Beavis in a Wings shirt to set you up for the epic PP goal for my bunghole quote, which Mabus promptly put into the awesome pic. Neuvirth should get a star of the game, Howard probably should as well. Thank God Eaves was in and not Cleary Sammy or Bert. Wings take over 8th, 4 points behind MTL, 5 Behind TOR, with a couple of games in hand.
