I vaguely remember that. We have been spoiled for years on the blueline, and most of it wasn't fully appreciated while it was here, and only now are people realizing how good we actually had it on the back end.

While I looked at Cheli as more of a defensive D late in his career, I agree he was also darn good at moving the puck.

That offside was iffy, it looked OK to me. I guess the replay will clear it up. Tatar shooting the puck was ok, imho, the whistle was after he released it.

I think this is accurate. Everyone focuses on the loss of Lidstrom, but Rafalski and, to a lesser extent, Stuart were also outstandinding puck movers.

Nyquist giveaway sent off the post by Purcell. Glad the posts are helping Mrazek tonight. Hopefully Goose gets a couple to offset the no goal from earlier.

Devorski cornholed the Wings without lube on that early whistle. The puck was a good foot away from Bishop's pad.

Glendenning will get 15 games for the Malkin injury.... In all seriousness, I hope that isn't another Pat Peake injury. Malkin hit the boards skate first very similarly to that play.

Just finished cooking dinner with my wife, settling in for the game. I will be cracking open the birthday present she got me a few days early: a bottle of Macallan 15 year Fine Oak. Hopefully the spirits will be good luck for the Wings. I'm hoping things click for the Wings in a big way and they demolish the Pens.
