You know, it almost feels like the boys are rallying around the no call/no suspension for the elbow to Pavel like they did after Vladdy's injury. I am NOT in any way trying to diminish the tragedy of what happened in 1997, but the team as a whole seems to be playing with a fire that hasn't been there in a while.

One can hope. As much as I'd love to see Cowen reduced to a quivering bloody pulp, I'd be happier with a Kronwalling or a double digit goal output by the Wings.

Good signing in terms of both term and cap hit. Big Rig has come a long way, and if he keeps developing the way he has been the last couple of years, it will be a bargain by the end of it.

Smith with a good drive to the net and he draws a penalty. After he stood up to Neil against the Sens, it seemed like he is starting to play physically again. Wasn't he suspended a couple of preseasons ago due to a shot to the head on a Blackhawk? (If I recall correctly, the guy put his head down just before the hit). Maybe he was gunshy for a bit due to the suspension?

You have to love how the PK stood tall twice and then they respond with that goal just after Mule gets out of the box. It wasn't a great penalty to take, but for the most part Franzen has played well. Good on Babs to call the Smith penalty cheap.

I'm going to miss most of this one since I have to play keys for a production of Monty Python's Spamalot this evening. I'll be checking the score during intermission though. Let's Go Wings! I'd be thrilled if Nyquist keeps up his torrid pace.

Looks like someone else would have an apoplectic fit if Holland brought back Jason ******* Williams. When he was playing in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre for the baby Pens friends who own season tix asked me about him since they saw he'd been a Wing. I told them about his proclivity to miss a slapper from the point on the PP, bounce it off the glass, and send the other team for a SH odd man rush. Shortly after he did it and the opponent scored shorthanded.
