What the heck was Fil shooting at there?

Just got back from all-state chorus about an hour ago from Erie. Saw the Flames debacle in a Buffalo Wild Wings where the waitress was very glad to have a non-pens fan to wait on. Got a free sympathy draft after the loss. Better to get that out of their system and buckle down for the last few. If the Wings pull this out, they're tied for 8th and still have a game in hand. They still control their own destiny. Let's Go Wings! I think Howard is going to have a bit of a mad-on and stand on his head. 5-2 Wings. Goals from Datsyuk, Franzen, Kronwall, DeKeyser, and Filppula. 3 assists for Z, and 2 for Kindl and Pavs.

I don't have time to dig back for the posts. I was also using hyperbole for effect. There have been those trumpeting Price as being much better than Howard or Howard as just average. Statistically over their careers their numbers are very similar. On many nights this season Howard has been one of, if not the best players for the Wings. The guy deserves some credit is all I'm saying. I'm not trying to throw Price under the bus either. Some nights it just doesn't work for the guy between the pipes.

I'm sure he is, but there are those who seem to think he is infinitely superior to Howard. IMHO they are both very good goalies who may very well be proven great by the end of their careers.

Great effort by Jimmy Howard for the shutout. Nice job for an "average" goalie. How did Carey Price do last time he was out? Cue up side B of Van Halen's 1984 cassette and blast "Top Jimmy". Mule looked better this game as well. DeKeyser played very well also.

Nice effort by Abby the first time around, great to see him rewarded with the empty netter on the second time down.
