He did have that surgery. Maybe he is, but I'd like to think (hope) he is going to surprise us all in the second half of the season.

Agreed. Mule may not be lighting up the stats column like he did in that playoff series against Colorado a few years back, but he has done a LOT of the things that don't show up in the stats but still help you win. I'd be willing to wager he's having fun thses days.

Agreed. I'll fire the shot if it's called for, but I also didn't think it was on him. They were out too long, had tired legs, and couldn't clear the zone. Big Rig bailed them out. Hopefully that gives him more confidence and he'll bring the thunder more often.

Some of that IMHO was people legitimately not wanting to burn out Jimmy, especially since the Wings seem to finally have a second top flight goalie to put in. Howard has played damn well today. If Cleary pops a goal I won't complain.

To be fair to Cleary, Kopitar is a top flight player. Plus, didn't Cleary draw a penalty on Kopitar that led to an earlier goal for the Wings? Nice little profile on Zetterberg as captain. Good job NBC.

It's the suggestion I liked, so I'm going with it. Bummer with that goal to give some momentum at the end. Cleary should have tied up that stick.
