I saw that too, hopefully it was the fsd clock being out of sync and not a revisit to the la clock shenanigans. First game I've posted in a while due to region chorus and a monster sinus infection that has left me weaker than the PP has been the past few games. On the bright side, my student made all states for the third time. Quincey definitely got away with one on the icing call but I guess it's karma for the Salo icing in Vancouver. Smith has been looking good in his call up, IMHO. The PP at the end of the first had a shot and some decent offensive One presence. At this point probability has to be on the side of popping one. I'd like to see the Kronwall charge the net to allow the other D to get off an inimpeded one timer.

It was a hard fought game and the Wings still got a point to stay in 1st. Burrows had a nice move to score, but the stick break pantomime was bush league imho. I hope he gets Kronwalled hard in the playoffs. Kevin Weekes can take his "moxie" back to the Eddie Olczyk school of broadcasting. If he was on a Vancouver broadcast, I could tolerate his obvious glee over the Wings loss, but for a supposed national feed, not so much. We can complain about the weak icing call until we are blue in the face, but Bertuzzi should know better than to give the opportunity for the linesman to make that call. The Wings were lucky to be up early as much as they were outshot, and if the PP had actually popped one it wouldn't have mattered. Luongo made some great saves, as did Jimmy. If these teams meet in the WCF it will be a barnburner. Jimmy has played much better in his return after the broken finger than the two losses indicate. He deserves better effort from everyone in front of him, not just the Helm line.

Shootout. Without Pav it's scarier, but at least the Wings banked a point either way. I'd love to see Bertuzzi pop the winner. The icing call was really weak imho, but Bertuzzi should have known better than to give them a chance to get the call. Salo has been around long enough to have a feel for how to pace himself to slow down like he did to draw the call. Still overall it's been a good game to watch.
