Nice to see Franzen pop the guy in the face who punched him in the back of the head on the replay. Olczyk is such a douchenozzle it requires a superlative more extreme than the English language can offer.

He did a hell of a job to hold the fort and give them a chance to get back in it. At least 1 point tonight.

Great effort by Fil to get it back around front, and looked like he got th last piece of it. Olczyk is unbelieveable, just when you think he can't be any worse of a homer, he pushes the envelope further. He and Hasenfrantz can both sit and spin on a barbed double donger.

Conks with the fu save on the PS. My pet rabbits are PI$$ED that this ref has hasen (German for rabbits) in his name. Or at least the one named hasen stomped when I yelled F U Hasenfranz.

I think this is a big part of it. He had to be distracted by worrying about if he ended his brother's career. His brother's return had to be a huge weight off his shoulders.

Very good point. Don't want that bad karma. I vividly remember the Wings fielding an on-ice roster that was below the salary floor due to mass injuries.

Ya never know. If there's a PS tonight.... This is true. In one regard this could be perfect timing to get him in. It may be that the 2nd night of a back to back, the Wings are likely to get the short end of the stick or against a team like the Hawks, Conks is likely to get shelled, so they can bring him back against the Isles to get his confidence and the teams' up. If he helps steal one, so much the better in all cases.

Good 2nd period. Not quite enough to tie it up, but if they come out for the 4rd like they played the 2nd then they'll pull it out.

Hey, if Jason *%#@ing Williams can pop a goal and two assists last night mixed with blowing 2 keep-ins at the point that led to opposition goals and a shootout fail to get a shot off our boys can tie this up. (took the family to the SWB Pens game with a friend who has season tix in the 4th row behind the bench). And Kronner gets number two. Let's Go Wings! Keep the pressure on.
