Bad penalty by the Todd early. Good PK by the team, Howie looking awesome early. Huds just got robbed. Hopefully the Wings can get a couple past Lehtonen early. I'd also like to see Ott get Kronwalled into the 23rd century. Lef's Go Wings!

Congrats to Jimmy for his 4th shutout. Good win, and a great job to come out in the 2nd after a first where Jimmy kept them in it. Congrats also to the three stars Hudler, Abdelkader, and the well deserved 1st star to Jimmy Howard.

Good to see a period of the Red Wings hockey we know and love (except for the PP, but the Blues PK has been darn good and deserves some credit - anyone know how many blocks they have?). Hopefully they don't let up in the 4rd but instead stomp down on their throats with their skates and bury them. I want to see Elliott pulled.

Seeing the replay of the hit on Abdelkader is ticking me off even more. Someone should have beat the crap out of Cole. If they run Howard I hope somebody channels Probie from his AHL days and cannonballs the opposing goalie. Great bit by Mick about the pads, though. The new gear is more like motocross armor. There have been a few, but nothing sustained, imho. They've had more pressure at our end.

This is true. Helm's speed would help to get around the forecheck and nobody is better than Homer in front on the PP.

I think you're hitting it on the head. I called out Bert for a giveaway earlier, but the Blues checking has been formidable to say the least, and I've gotta give them credit. The Wings have 2 posts and Huds missed a golden opportunity, but Howie is keeping the Wings in this. It almost seems as if STL is checking with playoff level intensity.

Blues agressive forecheck made it seem like they had a PP on that shift. I've gotta say though, that Howie is proving all his naysayers wrong. Hopefully the boys skating in front of him step it up soon. BTW, is it wrong to want to see Jimmy score one at some point?
