Looking forward to this one. Hopefully the Wings have a mad-on after the weak sauce loss last night and ring it up on the Blues for a full sixty minutes, making Elliot look like he did between the pipes for Ottawa. Free curly fries for the new year would be nice as well. Let's Go Wings!

Need to head back down to the parents' tonight so I'll miss the 2nd half and tomorrow's game most likely, but we have to get the kids back from the grandparents. I love the old school logos in the GDT, very nice touch. Thanks in advance for the updates in the GDT. Hopefully the boys continue to play like they did in the 3rd against STL and pull out a pair of wins this weekend.

White was a shot blocking machine on that last sequence. Great job by Howard, who definitely deserved the win. Good effort in the comeback. I'd honestly prefer to see them play with the lead instead, though.

Agreed. It seemed like Pavs got fed up with things and decided to step it up for Howard who did a heck of a great job to keep them in it.

Quoted for truthiness. If they would bring it for a full 60 every game they'd be sick. Still they do know that te playoffs are when it matters most and I'd hate to see them burn themselves out for a president's trophy and not get a cup because of it.

This. Though it seems like they finally woke up. I'll give all the credit to the Blues outworking the Wings most of the game, but win or lose, I hate ticky-tack calls in either direction. BOTH teams and fan bases deserve a game that is well and evenly called. I don't want a game decided by an iffy call.

Jimmy still making great saves keeping it close, despite having virtually no help. He deserves better than what he has in front of him tonight.

And that is the frustrating thing about it. It always seems they have more patience against the Wings. I just wish the refs would be consistently right instead of the ticky-tack calls that are too prevalent. Still, both goalies are playing very well and deserve credit.
