Great backhand by Zetterberg. Fear the Zetterbeard. The Wings management should prohibit him from shaving down to the mustache for Movember next year since as soon as the beard was back he started playng like the Hank we all know and love.

Got in a bit late for the start, so I'm catching up on the dvr (gotta love fast forwarding thru commercials). The bottom 6 is looking pretty good thus far, I'd say. I think the Wings are ticked about the blown game in Nashville and are going to keep taking it out on the Kings all night.

That's the root of my comment towards the start of the 3rd. I had that feeling that I felt quite a bit in past seasons that their dominance not reflected on the scoreboard was going to cost them.

Agreed, but Rinne made some good saves to keep them in it and missed opportunities came back to bite the Wings and cost them. I think Conner was missed more than people expected.

I'm hoping so. I don't like it when they are so dominant but the scoreboard tally is one bad bounce or blown call away from forcing OT.

Stats note per TSN.ca. Lidstrom 1G +1; Suter and Weber both 0 G 0 A, -1. Overall this game should not be this close. But, the 2nd has been the "bad" period, so hopefully the Wings come out for the 4rd with focus, determination, and intensity to bring home the 2 points.

Do you honestly expect better from the Predabillies? They rival the Pens bandwagoners for dominance of the hockey fandom short bus (though I have met members of both fan bases that actually know hockey and have had great chats with them, they sadly are very rare.)

Personally I'd like to see a game where the Wings are so dominant that Nick gets us all some curly fries and makes people wonder how they could even think of considering Weber or Suter for a Norris over him. Furthermore, a little "I'd love to play with you again" from Nick plants the seeds for some free agent signings that will give the poison dwarf an aneurysm of volcanic proportions...
