Just got in from running the wife to work at intermission and I return for the resurrection of the yambag meme. . That's an omen for winged victory today for sure.

Fil having a great game thus far, and good to see Z with the assist. Fil also looking great on the PK. Howie standing tall as well. I hope that they do something to counter the aggressive forecheck since the Bruins are too good to allow to maintain that kind of pressure the whole game. They took a couple of dumb penalties, but killed the PP's against. Be nice to get our PP on the ice and see it maintain it's dominance like it showed against the Flames. The Wings weathered the storm early and are fortunate to be ahead. I've gotta say it's nice to see them holding a lead after being outplayed, especially since we've seen them dominate early with nothing to show for it on so many other occasions.

Lol. Possibly though I think Murph can hold it pretty well. I'd be willing to bet he could survive the Strange Brew drinking game - take a swig of beer everytime somebody says "eh".

Pav was due, I think he has just played at such a high level for so long that people get spoiled so when he seems human for a few games they overreact Same reason I still have high confidence that Hank will step it up. Then again the Wings are two points back from Chicago with 2 games in hand and back on pace for 100 pts despite not really clicking on all cylinders most of the season. We've had it so good for so long as Wings fans that overreaction to adversity is the norm (though the argument could be made that what any other fan base would call mediocrity is what we consider adversity since the Wings have been so good for so long).

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Looking forward to watching the game tomorrow. The pharmacist who works with my wife is a huge Bruins fan so I'm sure he's gonna pick on her a bit since they both have to work during the game. As a side note, my daughter was watching the Macy's Thanksgiving parade and they had a float with Larry Murphy and Cam Neely to promote the game. She also asked if they were giving him dollar turkey sandwiches instead of dollar hot dogs to get him up early enough to ride the float. A perceptive 7th grader she is, or at least one who grew up watching the games regularly with Dad.

Glad to see they pulled it out in the 4rd. Hope they have a great Thanksgiving then destroy the Bruins on Friday.

Saw the last minute or so of the game, due to playing keys for the musical at my school, but I'm glad to see they won both games during the show nights. They seem to do well when I have an obligation at the school. The first spring concert I directed was the night of the 2OT playoff win against STL in 96. The Benn punking of Kindl was cheap.
