I missed most of the first due to the Caps-Rangers going overtime, and by the time I found a working stream, the game came up on Vs. From what I've seen, the Yotes got lucky bounces, and the Wings had to skill goals. The Todd was seriously robbed by Bryz on the one chance, but he is due to breakout big time, imho. Helm and Eaves make a great tandem, imho.

I was on the road home after the PMEA all-state chorus concert and stopped off to visit the parents and catch the end. The 5 on 3 call was atrocious IMHO and it sure felt like the jobbing was in full effect. I'm glad they stood tall, and Howie seems to be playing very well. Thanks to all who keep the GDT going for the times I can't catch the whole game live. Datsyuk was absolutely sick it seems, it's good to see him stepping up. Hopefully Z didn't suffer a significant setback in his recovery, but that clip didn't look good.

I was bummed that I was only able to see the last 5 minutes on vs. in an Applebee's. I was stuck in the Bass I holding room at PMEA All-State Chorus for the first two periods, then driving back to my hotel afterwards. Good news on that front, my student felt he did well on his Bass II audition. Thanks for the GDT updates, it kept me sane and informed. Missed the game due to having to run errands with my wife since I was playing a show Fri and Sat nights. Seems like the refs tried to help the Hawks in this one. They stood tall and served notice to the rest of the league they wouldn't be denied. Will the high stick no-call be the catalyst Mule needs to morph into playoff monster mode. Hopefully the Stars take care of business tonight. Chi-Van would be an interesting series to watch but I want to see them miss the playoffs so the bandwagon on Madison has to serve stfu lattes during the playoffs.

They absolutely should give him a 4-6 year deal. Helm is a great sparkplug player who is developing a scoring touch (I don't think his production will be a fluke year like Draper's big season then disappear) and is money on he PK.
