Shame about the elbow being up where Johnson could duck into it. Hopefully they can kill this. If he was gonna get ejected and possibly suspended he could picked a more strategic target.

With three games head to head with the Hawks, they have a very slim shot at catching the WIngs for the Central lead. I've got a feeling the boys come out tonight and give them a huge "I don't think so" and win decisively. I'll say JMac plays well and the Wings find some offense, with goals from Mule, Zetterberg, Lidstrom on the PP, Hudler, and Helm. Looking forward to this one.

Great video, thanks for posting this. Pavel is just a phenomenal talent, but he also seems to be a sincere, nice person with an awesome sense of humor. I agree, the lineage of class act leadership seems to be doing just fine in Detroit. Yzerman, then Lidstrom, next Datsyuk and Zetterberg, we're lucky as fans to have top notch players who are also top notch people to cheer for on the Wings.

Very good news that Howard isn't seriously hurt. He was playing well in the Toronto game before the injury. I'll be among those who'll criticize for a bad goal against or sloppy rebound control, but this is only his second NHL season, and I think it's easy to lose sight of that. I hope they sit him for a couple of games to make sure he's healed up properly. Part of me thinks that maybe he's running a bit low in the fuel tank so the enforced rest will do him some good.

Still keeping it going, up to 30 min on the bike, level 6 tension and 30 minutes on the elliptical level 4, burning over 500 calories a session daily mon-fri after I finish teaching for the day.

Didn't say there was. They said Jimmy was complaining about interference but I didn't see it on the replay, hence it was only gonna be called if it was Homer for a phantom call. The Wings had some chances but most weren't the quality variety.

Howie was screened. I don't know about the interference gripe, as I didn't really see it, but since it wasn't Holmstrom in front they wouldn't call it anyway.

Damn shame that Luongo's great performance in net is tainted by several ridiculous calls and no-calls. The Wings didn't play badly, and the Canucks are a darn good team, but I hate when crap officiating leaves a doubt IMHO. Hopefully there's a rematch in the WCF. Datsyuk is healed soon.
