Red. When I was a freshman in high school our class had a jello wrestling fundraiser with green jello in the ring. (Yes, I wrestled, no, there is no video, it was 1987). The next day the camera served green jello. Since then I've had an aversion to eating green jello. French toast or pancakes?

Great analysis of the post cup years, kliq!

Nope, I'm on a roll with the misplaced answers today. TPBM likes the show 24.

Hot tub. Lager or Ale

If you are talking "does the player make those on the ice with him better?" I could agree about Sakic as an example of being more valuable than his production, and a darn good one at that, even with his actual stats. That criterion also plays well for Mario - two words: Rob Brown.

Nope, not nearly as much as I probably should. Six to six and a half hours per day is what I normally get. Ribs: wet sauce or dry rub?
-
Nope, but your description is great. Ecto-vomit is a good name for it. Peter Venkman would approve. TPBM got hammered by the last snowstorm like we did here in PA. (10 inches in my town).

Chalk it up to superstition. It's semi amusing to read about what Phil does, though. Rabbits: lop-eared or normal?

Dry. If the pet lets it sit for a while it doesn't get nasty. (Our dog seems to enjoy a disproportionate amount of people food. Humbly apologize or creatively bulls*** a reason for forgetting to post a choice in my last answer? (D'oh!). I have no idea why I did that. Soup or salad?

By today's standards, Grant Fuhr would be an AHL goalie. . I agree with your feelings on the danger of relying on extrapolated stats. However, much like the old What If? comics, it makes for interesting discussion. There is also the consideration of the effects on modern era training and nutrition. In the "golden age" players came to camp to get in shape. If Gordie Howe trained like modern era players, it is frightening to think what he could have been on the ice.

Great infographic. Not questioning it, but where did you get it, as it seems to come from a good source. I don't recognize the "circle F" logo at the top right. Good point about Mario. Would era adjusted goals per game be a better stat, or do you think there is too much extrapolation in any case?

Very well said. Your point about Datsyuk is salient. His point totals, imho, are actually quite impressive when you factor in his extremely high defensive acumen. He is more electrifying as an individual player than the vast majority of the "accumulators". I vaguely recall your comments in the earlier thread. The point thresholds for HOF consideration definitely need to be revisited, particularly if the player was so much more than a point producer. My comment was intended to indicate that the goals are harder to come by today, despite any talent dilution, due to the evolution of goaltending and the equipment.. As I look back, it seems that my intent wasn't necessarily clear due to the syntax I used.

Great point about the overall difference in goal scoring between eras. How does that weigh against the dilution of talent in the current era that some will bring up in your opinion? I think it doesn't outweigh the dead puck pads a-la Giguere factor. I agree he has the potential to retire as one of the best offensive wingers in history. As I mentioned earlier, if he gets a defensive game under Trotz while maintaining production that catapults him up the overall standings, imho.

Depends. Certain movies need to be seen on the big screen, everything else the home theater is enough. But then, I moonlighted at a Circuit City to get the employee accommodation for the home theater (nothing like 75-80% off retail with no tax and free shipping).

And we all know what the wind does... I actually remember a dj saying that on the air when I was a kid. Wind Cries Mary - Jimi Hendrix

Ovie is a heck of an offensive talent. If he can maintain production while refining a defensive game under Trotz, that would be like Yzerman part deux, and a testament to Trotz's ability behind the bench.

Is it a "short" tank?
-
Mantha is hitting the first level where he wasn't naturally dominant. Once he gets over the hump, I think he has the skills to be an absolute beast. There is something about Larkin that makes me think he is going to be something special. Maybe it's an Yzerman-like determination to excel no matter what.

I agree Buffalo deserves a break. They lost some key free agents, though most would agree Briere's best days were in Buffalo. Edmonton's mismanagement of top picks is arguably an atrocity.

That is pretty sweet. If the tax refund is good I may get a One, otherwise it will be summertime.

Great win, too bad I forgot the DVR. Thanks for the info. I missed the last two goals going on a donut run for the parents, but we got a lot done today. The Wheelz are back on da bus. (For some reason I'm picturing a short bus with monster truck tires, spinners, and a spoiler painted up in Wings colors. If anybody wants to photoshop it's feel free). Very civilized. Almost as civilized as the bottle of Macallan I was gifted for helping them move. Too bad I have a two hour drive home. I thought he was lazy and he sucked. Get the Wheelz on da bandwagon.
