I'm going to miss this one, as I'm helping my parents move into their new house. I'll pop in when I can for updates. (They're in Philly territory so no tv coverage there and no center ice). Any detailed recaps of the play will be greatly appreciated. Here's hoping Mrazek rebounds and the boys come out with a mad on and play hard for a full 60 with the Wheelz on da bus to get a decisive regulation win. Curly fries would be nice.

While OEL would be nice to have, any trade that could actually pry him out of Phoenix would end up being gross overpayment. No way their GM lets him go for a reasonable price, he'd be lumped in with Mike Milbury in terms of trading skill and most likely lose his job not too long thereafter. Taking the long-term view, I think the Wings would end up losing out on that trade unless OEL turns into Lidstrom 2.0. As much as I like OEL and his stud potential, there is a better chance of both Goose and Tatar popping 40 in the same season IMHO. That's intended more as props to Lidstrom's than a slam on OEL.

Most of you know I'm a choral director. Eric Whitacre is a phenomenal composer who is like a rock star in choral world. His album Light and Gold is amazing. My choir is doing his "The Seal Lullabye" in our spring concert. He also recently did an amazing setting of Depeche Mode's " Enjoy the Silence" that is just hauntingly beautiful. Kr, you are hitting the nail on the head regarding OEL, I'd say. What were you thinking of Marchenko last season before the high ankle sprain? I know you watch much more of the Griffs than I'm able to. The feeling I had was that his skating was only recently coming back to pre injury form, but that is admittedly founded on largely secondhand info.
