GDT 1/2 GDT : Red Wings at Buffalo Sabres, 1:00 EST

I don't give a sh*t about back to backs or how many games in how many nights we play. Can we please go with Mrazek for 5-6 games in a row and let him roll. He is our best goalie...end of story. -

I love it when Green plays roamer, he's most effective, its high risk/high reward. -
Canada was not good right from the start. Terrible on D and not very good in goal. Too many penalties. Virtanen was terrible.
-
I would really mix it up Z - D - Sheahan ( don't care if he's a center ) Abby - Larkin - Gus Tatar - Helm - Richards Glendenning, Jurco, Pulk, Miller, Nosek, Boyd Devereaux etc.....
-
100 % agree, Helm's brain can not keep up with his feet and Pav thinks 9 plays ahead of the game every time. It doesn't work.

6 milly a year for a guy who has made a career out of being an offensive d man. I think it's time to get him on the first unit. To be honest I would go back to 3 forwards and 2 d on the PP. Z - D - Abby - Green - Kronwall and then whatever other 5 guys you want to put on the second unit. Gus, Tatar, Larkin, Richards etc....

My observance from this game : Every time Big E is on the ice he makes a mistake. First game back or not he is so average. -

7 shots halfway through the game is not good enough in any league anywhere. -

Jimmy makes some good saves and then looks like a broken down snowplow on the first goal. Face first, stick out to the side, no idea where his net is, brutal reaction to the boards. Is it his first game at Joe Louis? -

The Canucks are a bad hockey team. We are not a bad hockey team. We should win. -

All Larkin had to do was take 3 strides and he would've had it in deep, instead he tries to be fancy and its faceoff and in our net. Rookie mistake. -

The fact you are questioning the goaltending in this game would leave me to believe you didn't watch the game? This isn't even a game after 40 minutes if Howard didn't counter our weak effort with good saves. Now don't get me wrong he looked like me dancing at my xmas party on the OT winner but he was hardly the reason for the loss. You may want to learn how to take a joke. Is this really what the world has come to? I'm pretty sure he wasn't saying that anyone for certain has a drug problem. It's called a figure of speech. -

A decent night spoiled by a terrible 4 on 3 PP with no urgency and two terrible shootout moves by Gus and Pav. I can see why Kenny pushed for the 3 on 3 OT. -
I don't know if this has been posted yet but Ferraro is on waivers Elliotte Friedman @FriedgeHNIC 6m6 minutes ago Waivers today have Ferraro (DET) and Granberg (TOR) No surprise really

I could be wrong but was he not rumored to be involved with the bloods?
-
Definitely a tough go on the face for Miller !
-
I agree. If Jurco is going to play he needs to play with some skill players, no point in plugging him onto the 4th line to rot. I don't think there is anything wrong with him and Pulk battling for a spot.

What are the chances Larkin wins the Calder ?
puckbags replied to nyqvististhefuture's topic in General
At this very second I would say his chances are 32.7 % -
Exactly, fringe player. No big loss..moving on...

I think that question has been answered about 25 times in this thread. When Yzerman was named captain this franchise was not exactly flowing with pride or confindence. Nor did it have any recognizable players. They knew they were hanging there hat on Yzerman for years to come. Larkin is an amazing player and I don't question his ability to be a captain one day but he will have to wait his turn.

Thought we played pretty good tonight, worked hard. Have to put the puck in the net. Pretty simple. I thought our 3 worst forwards were D, Z and Abs.
