Good effort, we are just a little thin up front, Cole and Franzen would've helped that alot. Huge credit to Marchenko and Kindl tonight, those two looked great. Kindl is an NHL caliber defenceman and if's he not going to be playing for us he needs to be moved for something. It pains me to say it but Z is turning into Stevie late in his career. Looks sore everytime he takes a stride. We have lots to build on here and some movable assets. -

Good 1st, Love the fact we are shooting the puck ON the net and making Bishop make some saves. I feel like Helm has one of those burner rushes in him somewhere. -
Zidlicky is exactly what i expected him to be, he's a gimmicky d man who looks great some night and terrible others. I'd put Marchenko back there.

We have to get way more shot ON the net, we miss the net way to much. We have to make Bishop stop more pucks. I bet we missed the net 20-25 times tonight. And I agree Gus and Z have to bring something to the table. I feel like Sheahan needs more skill on that line. Maybe Weiss as much as it pains me to say it. -

24 years of being a Wings fan and this ranks really high on the anger meter. Big E needs to have a turn in the rotation and sit on the bench for a game or two. Best of 3 and we've more than proven we can beat these guys. Game on !! -

Everytime we turn it over it ends up in our net or a penalty. Our turnovers are always in the worst spots on the ice. -

2 Keys, Obviously we needs one of these 2 guys to play some good goal and if we can get out of our own end with control and not get stuck in our own end for long periods of time I think we will be fine. Wings in 4. I agree with the first 2 but the Mule has been fragile for 3 years and wouldn't make much of a difference in a series where puck control and speed could be the key. -
It's like amateur hour around here. Almost every season for the last 23 this team goes into a funk like this. Only one thing matters. Make the playoffs. Be healthy, Get hot and have a chance at the cup. I don't give a flying f if we finish 8th.

I'm ok with ties also and would prefer the old way but that's clearly not going to happen. If I had my choice it would be 3 on 3 from the start until someone scores.

What is there to get? We picked up 2 legit veteran players and gave up prospects who are clearly not even close to playing in the NHL. We gave up a couple of picks which we can afford to do considering our prospect pool is pretty damn deep. It's all about what you can afford to give up and what you need. We needed another right handed d man and got one. -

Really hope thats not the case, he has been so good this year. The other wild card here is where does Franzen fit on this team if and when his head is right? Is there a spot? I really think Kindl is going to get moved and maybe Andersson to get us another 3rd/4th line winger. Cole is versatile and can play on any of the first 3 lines. Time will tell. -

You aren't getting it,Backman wasn't good enough for Grand Rapids to even try and force him into the lineup. There are 3-4 guys ahead of him in GR, which doesn't include guys we may sign in the offseason or already have like DK, Smith. He's probably 8-10th on the depth chart. Kenny did have his way, Bert is gone, Sammy is long gone and Cleary is about 14th on our depth chart. -
