If he made anymore than the 3.9 he makes it would hurt even worse but that contract isn't that bad. Can we buy Weiss out? if so we don't have any other bad contracts...Bert, Cleary, Sammy, Alfie, Quincey off the books should give us a lot of room to make some moves..and cmon let's be honest our young guys were terrific this year even though they were invisible in the playoffs. Future is bright from where I sit. Clearly he's a total chump..he's never done anything in this league...oh wait he did get a squad of half ahl'ers to the playoffs.

I will never look back on the move to get Legwand but I just don't understand how we used him..clearly our young guys were out of their element in this series so why didnt we move him up to the 2nd or 3rd line.

Sometimes the hardest jobs to do are when the expectations are as high as they are in Detroit. We've won a cup with him as GM and never missed the playoffs. A bad draw? lol..you get a bad draw when you finish 8th. There young guys are playing like men and our young guys are playing like boys. I love our young players and what the future holds but right now they are just a better team full of grown ass men. Take all the stats you want, pile them up, blame the coach, blame the goalie, we are getting beat by a fantastic team..we had our chance in the first tonight to go up by 3-4 goals and we didnt, they didnt panic and they out classed us for the last half the game. I dont know what we can do to win 3 in a row but I'm not shutting the door on this goofy season yet..stranger things have happened.

I like this but because Legwand moves up, I don't like it because Helm is on the 4th line, I think if Bert comes in and Sheahan comes out Helm moves up to the 3rd or take Jurco out and put Sheahan on the wing with Tats and Helm and put Bert with Glen and Miller. I guess what I'm saying is anyway we can get Legwand and Helm some more ice I would be all for it .

I agree, Sheahan looks to be having a hard time with the adjustment to the physical play. Could see Andersson in next game for him. There is also an outside chance that Bert comes in , plays on the 4th line and gives us a different look on the PP. Put Bert on the 4th, Move Legwand up to the 3rd.

Gutsy effort, hard work will get you a long way's even with this hybrid AHL/NHL lineup we are icing. If we make the playoffs and get healthy we will be the scariest 8 seed ever. Seems these days anyone with 3 working limbs and blood in their veins will get a look

That's where we are at with this lineup..we can play a pretty good game which we did tonight and still lose against good teams. We used to be good enough where we could play at 60% all night and still win..those days are long gone.

If we get healthy up front we can match with anyone, just need Jimmy to be Jimmy and the D to be steady.
