I don't disagree with any of the other ones, Hindsight will drive you crazy if thats how you live. No one wanted to sign Flip for what he wanted so he moved on but in hindsight if we could've seen what a train wreck Weiss was going to be of course we would've gave him that money. Quincey for a 1st was terrible, you don't think Holland will admit that? Sammy, Tootoo, Cleary.. low risk signings that in the grand scheme of things haven't made much difference because they got hurt and we got the kids in the lineup for them anyways. Like I said if you are going from 2008 of course we have. But we lost in the finals in 2009 ( still hurts alot that one) , lost in 2nd round 3 times and 1st round to Nashville once, of course things haven't been quite right but hey you gotta get there to have a chance and this franchise prides itself on doing that every year.

Z? he's hurt Datsyuk? he's hurt too Kronwall? doubt it Franzen? not right now ...oh you want him to keep Jarnkrok and have Andersson and Glendening centering the first 2 lines because we think that some kid who has played half a season in North America is a can't miss according to the LGW scouting staff? You have to give something to get something, we were desperate..we have too many injuries...I said it before, it's not in the culture of this franchise to mail it in and miss the playoffs. We don't need him the off season, we need him now WE HAVE NO CENTERS, they are hurt ( 3 weeks shut down ), hurt ( maybe for the season ) and well......hurt ( concussion like symptoms) Desperate times call for desperate measures..would you have prefered they sent Gus or Tatar, Picks, and prospects to Vancouver for Kesler?

Holland could play 2B for the Tigers hit 80 HR's and get 195 RBi's, Throw 73 Td's for Lions, Average a triple double per game for the Pistons, and GM the most successful franchise in hockey the last 20+ years and some of you would still hold something against him. We need warm bodies down the middle....we have none..he got one..over paid? maybe but it had to be done. This team won't settle for missing the playoffs..this isn't Vancouver. This place is amazing...if he doesn't panic he's an idiot, if he does he's an idiot. Who was the last prospect he traded away at the deadline that everyone got pissed about? Oh yea it was Matthias, the guy is a 10 goal scorer who just got traded again. I think our scouting, coaches and rest of staff wouldn't have traded Jarnkrok if they knew he was a can't miss blue chipper. Legwand waived his no trade clause to play here in a season where we might actually miss the playoffs which seems like a pretty fair sign that he wants to be in Detroit possibly for longer than 20 games.

Agreed but when are we ever going to get to that point.. I would love it if we got as healthy as we were in the last 10 games of the reg season last year and the playoffs. Until we see what this team is like with a full lineup we will never know how good they are.

Good point, let me re phrase that, we would be the greatest team in the history of the universe if we were ever healthy which we aren't so who knows.

We are a borderline playoff team with a full lineup, we sure as s*** can't win without Z, D and now Helm..we are in a tough spot going in to tomorrow not knowing when these guys will be healthy ( Z obviously is out a long time) and if they can stay healthy.

Ehroff is a terrible defensive d man..end of story..he cost the Canucks multiple goals in the Stanley Cup finals which is pretty much the reason they didnt want him back. Pass

This lineup up front is scary when we are healthy. The D could use some work..just need to get hot at the right time and we need Jimmy to be last year's Jimmy. I am giddy about the future also, these young kids are something and there is more coming down the pipeline.

Yea I don't know what Lashoff has to do to be in the lineup..he's been solid all year..hardly ever hear his name which is a good sign for a stay at home d man.

That is the worst PK setup I have ever seen. Play a box, shade OV a bit but giving them that much room up top to shoot is embarassing.

I wouldn't be suprised it he ends up back in Vancouver. He did score 30 goals playing with the Sedin's the majority of the time so there is some chemistry there. Sammy did some good stuff for the organization in his previous tenure here but this time around it was pretty terrible. Good luck to him.

And.... There is 30 games left and we haven't been healthy all year. Could be worse spots to be.

2-1 goal is a killer. We were playing a decent road game until then. We need a full squad and top notch goaltending to compete with teams like this

Great 2 periods by the Wings, got hosed on the penalty call and a nice play by JVR on that goal. Play like we have been in the 3rd and we win this game.
