We need a defenseman that can limit mistakes in our own zone. Something we were terrible at last year. I don't think Schultz or any of the free agents available can help us in that area. -

If we can get Stammer I would be ok with Lucic because I think Okposo will end up fishing a couple mill more than him. If it's Lucic and no one else then I'm not okay with it. -

Better than having Andersson in every once in awhile. -
Lesser FA signings would be pointless for this team. I'd rather have the young guys fill those roles and develop. We have room for about 2 stud forwards and a stud defenseman. Signing anyone else would force us to expose our good prospects to waivers.

Happy Lindros is in. Who knows where he would have ended up without concussion issues. -
I can't tell if you're serious. Who is our equivalent of Toews, Kane, and Hossa? I think he is referring to our ability to draft forwards in the past. I wouldn't even put Chicago in the same category as us because Kane and Toews were both drafted high. Easy to hit on those players. I think we have been consistently the best at drafting forwards when you look at the past 20 years.

I'd say 3 players. Someone to replace Datsyuk, another scorer/sniper forward, and a top 2 defensman.

12 mill is too much unless we are assured the cap will continue to go up. I don't think we need a 12 million dollar player on the team no matter how good they are. We could prolly get Okposo and Erikson for close to that price. -

The goalie market is incredibly deep with the expansion draft coming up next year and being able to only protect one goalie. St. Louis traded Elliot more as a cap dump. The flames def needed a goalie at the right time. -
