I thought for awhile he was gone but I think he is seeing that the teams that are truly interested aren't better than what he has with Detroit. If Montreal or tampa, or Chicago had openings then of course he would be gone. But messes like Philly, Toronto, and Buffalo aren't going to make him happy in the long run. I think he stays

People forget that babcock coached the hell out of the kids the last two years with all the injuries and we made it to the playoffs both years. I truly believe that if someone else was coaching the Wings, one of those two years we would have missed the playoffs. A great coach adapts to the talent he has. People think his methods haven't changed but I guarantee they are different this year then they were in 2008-2009 when he could coach on auto-pilot. He is the best coaching option out there. With any other coach the Wings take a step back. Go get him Kenny!

Sad that no matter what happens, we are going to lose a good coach in the system. If Babcock stays then Holland runs out of excuses to stop teams from talking to Blashill.

I've never liked Don Cherry until now. He is right though. Babcock might go to a rebuilding team and find out it isn't as fun as it might sound and he might not be the coach he thought he was.

Chicago might have the easier road to a Stanley Cup since the lockout. preds, minny, anaheim, and possibly Tampa or washington. Super easy compared to other years.

They are in different stages of their careers. Ericsson should be in the veteran phase whereas Dekeyser is still learning the game. They say it takes 3-4 seasons to know what you have with NHL defensemen. I think we know what we have with Ericsson now.
