I have mix feelings about it. Losing ******* sucks, as a fan of pretty much all of Detroit sports anyone like wise, we've had more than our fair share of it. So yea I get pretty happy when the RedWings win. It sucks the Wings were trash for 70+ games and now starting to look like something of a team. Meanwhile our chances of a top 3 pick. With many of us drooling over for most of the season, something to be somewhat excited about, is slipping away. So I kind of get both sides of it. Some are just little more extreme.... Regardless I am just ready for next season already and can only hope we draft the next Elias Pettersson of the draft if we don't win the lottery. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yeah If I remember right, many people around here started to compare him to Zetterberg. I think most people even the RedWings hoped he would fall during that time.

It is good to hear people are fairly happy with our current prospect pool of goalies. I honestly wasn't sure how well off it was. My knowledge of such things isn't the best outside of the few name drops like Demko, Samsonov and so on.

I mainly hope we don't get screwed in the lottery and lose position, from where ever we finish. The more I hear about Kaapo Kakko the more I as well hope we land the 2nd overall pick. If we get lucky with the 1st overall, I am good with Hughes obviously, but I would be fairly happy with Kakko as well. I honestly don't know which is better. Outside of them two if we don't land the 1st or 2nd pick, I like what I hear about Podkolzin. I don't know if it was in this thread, but I know someone around here said they think the Wings should start drafting at least 1 goalie every year. I hope they do as well, I don't really care who. Just start stock stockpiling and hope for one to turn out. Spend a 3rd or 4th rounder on the best goalie available for the next 3 seasons and pry I say.

I am just sick of Blash voice at this point. Anytime I hear or see him, I just mute the TV until he's off the screen. I don't care to hear a single word he has to say. Same would be said for Babs.

What are some of the better goalies in this draft? Any clear late 1st rounders or 2nd round pick goalies?
