My point still stands. Can't be called hockeytown if most of your local fans only show up for cups. And it's not just the rink, last season theses forums, GDT were lucky to have 3-5 pages. Years ago it was easily in the high teens or higher almost every game. Same with HF board.

Our city doesn't deserve to be called hockeytown anymore. Maybe when fans come back and fill out that lower bowl seats again. Sad site to see during notional televise games.

Which version of Nyquist? 2013-2015 or the last 3 seasons? I think I would be ok with earlier Nyquist.

I was one of the votes. CAR should be better than DET. I think Mrazek has as much as chance to take over in CAR as Bernier does in DET. Darling could get injured just as easily as Howard. I guess the counter could be Mrazek didn't do anything in PHI and PHI was a much better team than DET. I don't think Mrazek is better than Howard, but I think he'll play about the same amount of games and have a better team in front of him. CAR D will also be much better than DET or PHI in my opinion. At least in CAR he'll get a real fresh start. Maybe I am in the deep end on this, meh.

NYE game is gonna cost more. Last season for lower bowl I was paying anywhere from 145-200$ a seat. I honestly can't remember a time 100$ getting you lower bowl seats in the last 10 years. Maybe it's where I seat or maybe I've been overpaying..... I go to about 8-12 games a year since 2007ish.

I feel like it's gonna be hard for me to call Zadina, Z anytime soon. Z will always be Zetterberg too me. I doubt as long as Zetterberg is still playing I'll ever call Zadina, Z. Maybe after Z gone. Happy to have Zadina, but he's gonna have to earn the nickname Z for me. Holy Z's batman. Maybe I am just weird and alone on this one.

Wilde Bode and Samuelsson Mattias both could of been 1st mid-late round picks. We have great chance at one at least. Decent chance at both in my opinion. I like Wilde slightly more from what I've been reading.

So many great D have been drafted in the 2nd round or later. It's been a while since the Wings drafted a really good Dman, but it appears the 2nd round is still loaded with solid D left on the table. We just happen to have 2 early picks going into round 2. If even one of 2 D we go after in round two turn out, this draft could catapult our rebuild years ahead. Meanwhile we still have another 3 picks in round 3, I think. With the next 5 picks, go all out on D. It's not out of reach to hope one could be the next Klingberg, pick 131.

This is the first time in a while, few years, I've been super happy with the Red Wings. I would been okay with Hughes or any number of the great D most knew when be around with #6 pick, but didn't honestly think Zadina a player that could be a top 3 pick would slip to us. Top if off with Dan Bylsma as our new AC and 10 more picks in this draft. It's been a pretty great day to be a Red Wing fan. Anyone notice how fast Holland and co were ready to make that pick also?

Speaking of goalies, do we have any interest in Grubauer? Should we be interest in him may be the better question.

Aren't the Canes looking to move Skinner? What about something with Nyquist + something for Skinner? I think he would fit in great with his speed/skill/skating on the wing of Larkin. If I had to guess it may cost us too much for Skinner.

I get that, but it would be nice to have a true goal scorer also. One that can create his own shot and finish. As I said I know we need a Dmen more, in general it would help complete the team more. I don't disagree, it's more of a selfish request on my end.

I know we really need D. But, I really want someone that can score some damn goals. Too many hands of stone on this team. Anyone in that Hossa range of skill possible at our pick?
