Long time no see everyone, glad to be back! I think this move will bite TO in the ass. Dubas did a bad job constructing this roster, and I see this is as him giving himself a second chance. Maybe Sheldon Keefe meshes better with these particular players, but I worry that TO is about to go down the road of the Oilers a few years ago, a team with great talent on paper, that just can't win. Not to mention, they are likely loosing their entire blueline in the summer. They couldnt have handled the Nylander/Mathews/Marner situation any worse. They should have traded Nylander for a young D-man, the a lesser deal with Marner first, then a larger deal with AM. But hindsight is 20/20.

It was nice seeing the chemistry between Fabbri and Bertuzzi was still there. This team desperately needs some secondary scoring, and hopefully Fabbri can give it to them!

Agreed, I don't believe Babs cares enough about Commodore to literally sabotage his career. My guess is that Babs thought Commodore would be a serviceable 7th D-man, and at some point in training camp Commodore pissed him off and Babs essentially said "F this guy, go sit in the press box".

Such a lame thing to be cocky about. Not exactly a coaching masterpiece to win a gold with a team stacked with first line elite level players. Its like Steve Kerr being called the best coach in the world because the Warriors won the NBA Championship with Curry, Green, Durant, and Thompson.

I think Svech will be up by the end of 2019. He’s coming off a pretty bad knee injury, so I think starting in the AHL is a good idea, but I hope it’s only temporary and once he’s up to speed he is brought up.

For the record, I wouldn't trade him for Hronek either. My point is simply that even if he is top 50, that's still a top 2 guy offensively speaking (and calling him "top 50 is probably underselling him). He does move move the needle for a team on offense, that's all I'm saying.

Ok, he's not a 50-65 guy, but to be fair, last year only 13 guys were. He's not elite, Ill give you that.

I think your expectations for a D-man are to high. Those stats Kip posted tell me he will definitely bring a scoring punch to any team. We are not talking a guy who is past his prime here.

I have to wonder if Zetterberg has something to do with it. My guess is that once Z’s contract is up, Larkin officially wears the C. who knows, maybe he comes back for a few games at the end of next season for a last hurrah. Highly doubt it, but you never know.

Thank you Kronwall for 15 years! Really is the official end of an era. I'm hoping they do a tribute for him at the home opener. As far as retiring him number, as much as I love him he's just not at that level.

I'd be hesitant to pay him money like that unless he keeps up that performance outside of Trotz's system. Griess had the same stat line as Lehner this year, and Griess is a career backup. We'll see how he does on Chicago.

Its such a crap shoot with goalies. If a major injury happens, he has a lot of value, if its just for depth he's probably worth a mid round pick. It all depends on the goalie landscape come the TDL.

If that's him, I don't think we have enough information to judge him. Scenario 1 He's hanging out, and a couple of female fans see him, recognize him and wave. He responds by saying "show me your _____", I think that's scummy. Scenario 2 He's somewhere were people are partying, girls are flashing (think mardi gras), some girls see him, yell at him, tease they are going to flash him, he engages, says ""show me your _____", I can't say I think he is bad guy. Unfortunately, like most things on the internet some people are going to form very strong opinions based on very little information and little to no context.

Maybe, but even in that situation Yzerman still makes an enemy.
