I think it's interesting that they already gave him a few days to clear his head, he gets one start and then he may need to clear his head again. I'm not disagreeing with you at all, I think there is more than one reason for this call up and Jimmy "having a few days off".

Tatar is scratched for tomorrow. Cleary is back in....

They called up AA because next year he becomes like Tatar did this year. He's out of minor league options after this season. At least that's what I read today on Mlive.

Weiss played his butt off tonight. And whether or not he put points up, at this point, what he did tonight was a step in the right direction.

Does anyone think that Tatar is gonna replace Emmer in this game? I just don't see it. He played well in the last game, and it's only one game in. I think it'll take an injury before Tatar sees the ice. Then hopefully he never leaves the ice for the season.

Anyone think that maybe Holland said he would be ready because he wants to trade him?

I feel like this is something Datsyuk would do, just in his head instead of out loud. I like it a little spunk, maybe a touch of nasty coming through the ranks.

I'd agree with Crymson there. Maybe swap Stalberg and Abby? I know we all have different feelings on him, but I think he could do just fine for a full season with Datsyuk.

I haven't checked the stats, but I have a hard time believing our special teams are better than Chicago's. You may be right Kylee, but I just have a hard time accepting that. As far as the teams style, I think it will be interesting to see how to we work against Chicago's puck possession style. It's not going to be as much dump and chase as Anaheim. And after seeing what Cogliano and Etem did against us this last series I'm inclined to agree that their speed is probably their most scary asset in this series. I don't see their 4th line doing more than Anaheim's 4th line did though. I think Anaheim's 4th line had 11 or 12 points in the series against us, not many 4th lines produce that well in 7 games I don't think.

I will admit I wanted a shot at getting Perry on our team this offseason, and was somewhat disappointed he resigned in Anaheim. However, after watching this series, I've come to realize he could never be a Wing. His attitude makes me sick.

I hate to say it but I'm thinking Hawks in 6. I think that the Hawks have our number this year, even when we've played them to shootouts.

Thanks for they write up Crymson. I agree with all of your grades, except maybe, MAYBE Smith. I thought he improved as the series went a bit, enough to get a C+ but that's just splitting hairs. Overall I thought your evals were spot on for the most part. I love reading this kind of stuff after a round.

Truth, but DK would've been in instead of Lash, which may have changed things a bit. Helm, at this point I have no clue if he would make a difference. Our third line has been the most consistent line we've had. Imagine though, if you would, a line of Nyquist-Helm-Brunner. Holy speed.

But are we really upset that the Nucks were swept? Nooooooope! I will admit I'd rather have seen the ice rink open up and swallow both teams, but the Nucks are one of the most obnoxious teams with one of the worst fan bases in the NHL.

I am not sure about DeKeyser's value being overstated by posters here. Babcock himself said the Wing's most likely wouldn't be in the playoffs without his addition to the roster. edit: Sorry 6 posts popped up while I was typing this.

I would like to see players like that in our system as well. Would be nice to have some big guys up front that can put it home. Oh how I wish for a young Bert when I think of that...

I really hope Smith starts getting in form soon. He's been tossed around a lot this season with different pairings, and I think it's been bad for his development. I forget who has it in their signature, but it says that DeKeyser and Smith will be paired up next season. I hope they are correct because I think that would be a good pair.
