Ya I know they haven't proven anything yet but I'm not comfortable exposing frk and sproul Kind of expect sproul to stick around due to his size and possible help on the ppl , frk I'd rather feel comfortable with him starting another year in Grand Rapids,can't imagine he gets a real solid shot in Detroit He got another 3 pts last game , he keeps racking it up I can see a 25-30th ranked team claiming him ... What's the deal with the team who would claim him? What's the minimum amount of games he'd have to play before they could send him down ? We're really gonna have to dump some guys to make room for some kids

What did you hear about him that wasn't great? I think he's gonna be a redwing for sure , probably a 3rd-4th line agitator who's gonna be a grinder and score some timely goals and show up in the playoffs May not rack the points up but I think he's gonna be a valuable player down the road ... Time will tell though

Prongers hit is lower than pavel's ....a budget team is always looking to spend the least amount of money as possible And we don't need to panic and start signing a bunch of these ufa's you listed and handcuff us for the future(it's a week ufa class) If we wanted to free up cap space and sign a ufa or do a trade then we'll have to do trades and get rid of money(Howard,Ericsson)

The problem is i don't want to give up a 3rd rounder to trade datsyuk's contract , why should we have to give up that high a pick to help a team who don't want to reach the bottom cap? We're doing them a favor as well by them saving 5-7 million actual cash , makes no sense to me Trade his contract to Arizona for Chris pronger's contract or suck it up for one season and give kids like mantha and athanasiou 14-16 minutes a night It's one season

I don't understand all these rumblings I'm reading online about how the redwings will have to give up a good prospect or a 2nd-3rd rounder to get rid of datsyuks contract If we're trading his contract to a team like Arizona who doesn't wanna spend to the bottom and get to save actual money , then how is it there the ones doing a favour for us? The way I see it were helping eachother out but we have to give up a good asset as well? In my mind a 7th should be more than enough and they get to save 5-7 million , don't get it Is there any way we could trade datsyuks contract for pronger? If blashill told holland he needed mantha in his lineup and actually used him he would of stayed ... Sure holland is the one who technically sent mantha down but that's because Blashill wasn't using him in the lineup Thus Blashill's fault

Might not be what snow what's for harmonic but I'm sorry giving up a Larkin for harmonic is complete nonsense ... He's a good defensemen but he's not one of the elite dmen of then nhl , why would he fetch an elite prospect

4th or 5th for Tatar? No way man ... He had an off season but he can get 25-30 depending on the role he got on a team , our coach is just clueless Put Tatar with the ducks ,Hawks, pens top 6 and he easily gets 25-30 First rounders are hard to fetch so he won't get that but I'd think he could easily get a 2nd rounder I personally wouldn't even consider giving him up for that

Blashill ran the powerplay not holland Blashill limited athanasiou's linemates and over played the vets not holland Blashill responsible for sending mantha down not holland Point is Blashill is the one who made a lot of questioning moves with this team in the post season and is to blame , there's too much talent on the roster to score 1 goal a game , heck even nyquist and Tatar's goal scoring went down severely this season

Go after staal? Have you watched him play? He's done Got no interest in stamkos's 10-11 cap hit it would take , with our luck he'd probably get more blood clot issues as well , and as for yandle I think he's overrated and just fit in well with Arizona I think our upgrade at d will be through a trade possibly including a nyquist in a deal and adding ouellet/sproul ... I'd keep jurco and trade pulkkinen with nyquist In a deal for defense Gotta think nyquist and pulkkinen would fit in great in a ducks uniform and could each get 20-30 (although I'd want more than vatanen) And we need to add some serious grit upfront as we have too many of the same type of players

Yaaaa don't know about that , literally every single decision he made was a total flop and most of the fans here disagreed with every single thing he did/said and kept repeating the same mistakes every game , and every single game most of us bitched Bitched about ericsson and he refused to take him out ... Ericsson was on the ice on the eliminating goal ... He kept his persistent stubbornness till the end And like you mentioned he took the fans and media for idiots ,when he was in fact the only idiot in the room... I truly believe if it weren't for him and his baffling decisions we'd be getting ready for game 6 Anyways I'm just venting here , I know Unfortunetly he will be back , the only chance of redeeming himself is trusting the youth and the way he's treated athanasiou there's no reason to think mantha won't get the 5-6 minutes a night treatment next season as well

Holland had no say in Blashill giving athanasiou 5 minutes ... That's him being a chicken s*** and playing it safe It's game 7 and we couldnt score and he couldn't give 2 s***s ... Played it safe till the end , if he keeps going this way He's not gonna last s long time , at least id hope not 11 .... 250 games but for what? Like 5-6 guys? 66 games is hardly gonna make marchenko a grizzled vet though, he'll still make mistakes ... But low minutes so for me he's still gonna be a it behind next year than he should be as Will mantha, ouellet,sproul and whomever comes .... Does this team need change? Yes absolutely ... Don't believe we're a below average team , regardless that the Bruins stunk the joint at the end , which we also did we ended up with 93 points ... Tampa finished with 4 more than us That being said yes we do need changes ... We need help in the back end which we've all been saying and we need some grit and physicality for the longest time ... For years I been preaching Chris Neil especially at his prime and most of you hated the idea , which is fine(although I believe if he was a wing people would like him,he's old now so forget it) We sign a lucic let's say and trade a nyquist in a package for a dman and maybe even Tatar in a seperate trade for a dman and were , as long as we get one and with ouellet in I think we'll be better All that being said we still have a stupid coach who we all thought was gonna preach youth who's gonna be afraid to give our kids a good shot simply cause they didn't dominate the ahl , so who knows what will happen Do believe we got the talent though
