I got no problems with the picks involved , you never know if those guys will be player or not ... I personally would of added a pick next year and kept janmark but somehow I have feeling Nill wanted him And your probably right he doesn't have much value to be used in a package deal for someone I'd just rather of kept him and waited till his value gone up and if he was a bust he was a bust But what do I know? Every pick we choose we never know what will happen to them ... I thought "hat trick dick" would of been a star here and also he's swedish ... Axel holmstrom is our only hope I think pulkkinen on the bottom 6 playing against teams bottom pairs and 3rd d pairings could be a huge player for us in the playoffs and provide us with some offence

Well that could be true but janmark never really had a shot here and he's 22 ... And as much as we love and hope larkin athanasiou mantha are gonna be top nhl guys ....daigle and Stefan were first overall picks and never did anything so we never know what happens until these guys all play

Just saying at this point in his career he's on the decline and almost over ... If I remember correctly I think last year maybe 2 his numbers weren't too good ... I targeted him personally cause I like his game and didn't think at this point in his career he'd cost us 2 prospects and a high pick ... That was my mistake I know a lot of people see him top 6 and he probably will be but I think if we had him with sheahan and pulkkinen on the 3rd line for now and playoffs it might be a big line for us I just heard on the leafs game we picked up cole cause were worried about Franzen which is probably true .... No ones heard any news right??

At least .. But we would have to get rid of weiss so salary matches which is why I don't think it'll happen .... Would you do weiss and smith for Phaneuf? And would the leafs do it? I doubt it

Glad your acknowledging he at least has upside and how jarnkrok all of a sudden was a nothing prospect when we gave up up to some people here ... Just because they wouldn't of been here ahead of mantha athanasiou larkin doesn't mean he couldn't of been a top 6 nhl player ... Cole is a rental yes but he's also 36yrs old and on the decline and has back issues (guessing that's why the stipulation is he has to play half the games if we make it to the eastern finals) You could be right I might get attached to some guys ... I don't love all our prospects but I was high on janmarks potential and I guess I'd rather keep a 22 yr old kid who's one of the top scorers in back to back seasons and give away another 3rd rounder say next year than of included him But if I had to guess jim Nill asked for him and with good reason Anyways well see how janmark ends up ... My own prediction is they'll both be in the ahl next year and in dallas in 2 seasons and then we see what happens Let's just hope cole works out for us I know he'll be good here so long he's healthy

Well I can't think of our exact lineup now but I know we got a lot of bottom players Tatar datsyuk helm Nyquist zetterberg abdelkader Pulkkinen sheahan cole Franzen glendening miller Weiss/cleary/Andersson gone possibly gone ... Realize one can stay as the 13th guy but we might give a kid a chance? Franzen might also be gone still ... So you may be right ... Anythings possible

Doesn't mean janmark won't be a good nhler ... From what I remember we beat a few teams to the punch and selected janmark and it wouldn't surprise me if dallas was one of them(just remember Chicago) Sorry if I think a 2nd and backman would of been enough for cole ...
