at the start of the season i was thinking it could really cost us but now that hes on a slump and if we acted fast im thinking we might be able to resign him for 2 yrs 4 million? or 2 years 5 million? hes on a slump but he does have scoring ability ... how much you guys think its gonna cost us to resign him? should we? and if so should we wait till the off season and risk him going on a little run to end the season?

1st - any pick besides our 1st round pick i would consider trading 2nd - ian white has no future here and since jordan leopold got a 2nd i can see us getting a 2nd round pick off a team , we can then use it in a trade or have 3 picks in the first 60 3rd - if filppula wants 5 million per as reported i would trade him now and get a nice return, hes just not producing near enough to demand that type of salary ( filppula and a mid pick to boston for a 1st and caron?) 4th - any of emmerton miller or eaves as i see no future with the team for any of them 5th - coliacovo to a contending team in need of depth but realistically he wont go anywhere as hes been hurt all season long 6th - and last but not least the prospects , if were gonna go for anyone significant were gonna have to deal some prospects and we got some really good prospects i got high hopes for and i dont wanna see us trade top prospects unless its for a great player who's signed unfortunetly i can see nyquist being dealt in a package to a team for someone ... of the rest of the prospects the only ones id consider in a deal would be jake patterson(since we got mrazek), landon ferraro, adam almquist,andreas athanasiou and brian lashoff (id consider trading lashoff only if we got a top defensemen back in the deal) so thats who i think are the trade assets you guys agree?disagree? http://kuklaskorner.com/tmr/comments/on-sniffles-and-the-red-wings-conundrum-that-is-valtteri-filppula?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter just found that article on the wings and mentions the possibity of dealing filppula

i just gotta say with all these names being mentioned gaborik is the only one with the potential to make datsyuk happy again and make him rethink about leaving for russia ... i seriously doubt playing with pominville will make datsyuk think twice about going to russia lol

umm gaborik i might be able to live with because he only has one year left (his cap hit is high) NO WAY to cammalleri who's 5'9 and been getting 20 goals a season last 3 yrs and has a cap hit at 6 million although i got questions with gaborik showing up in the playoffs i think he can produce with datsyuk with his speed .... id stay far away from cammalleri

dont like pominville's cap hit and i know alot of people dont like clowe but i want him here playing with datsyuk in the playoffs , hes big physical and gritty and i got no doubt in my mind he can score again in detroit

trading for players ... and yes voracek is washed up .... simmonds is washed up ... jagr sucked when they got him , hartnell sucks ... pronger sucked when they got him ... your right all washed up the one thing i admire about paul holmgren is hes not afraid to make a deal when he needs to

just heard pierre mcguire ranting about our defensive prospects on the radio and he said how backman was a tremendous player and plays alot like jonas brodin ... wow i had high hopes for backman because i get excited for every swede we draft but jonas brodin is amazing and if backman is anywhere near as good as him we got a hell of a future player he also mentioned we got the western collegiate hockey defensemen of the year (nick jenson) ... mentioned ouellet dekeyser and sproul gotta say the future looks bright

i just noticed hes got pts in the last 3 games (1 goal 4 assists) 11 pts in 15 does anyone think he can be an nhl player??? unfortunetly i cant see him having a future in detroit and the poor guy always had bad luck with injuries but hes still only 25 and has alot of speed from what i remember and i think he can be an nhl player for a while you guys think hes gonna get a chance and stick around the league or hes bound for a career in europe?
