I imagine it's the other way around. We aren't privy to the whole story, and that quote from Babs kind of solidifies for me that there is something more to why Tots isn't playing. Hopefully whatever it is they get it sorted out, because even though I'm not crazy about the guy he can score and has brought awesome energy in the past. And if Smith doesn't understand why he could possibly be benched, he's more of a moron than I thought.

I like Glendening as a jobber over Cemmer. But I agree, it is the easy move and doesn't really address any of the big issues.

I don't think we can compare the parts that left to the parts that were signed, Flip in particular. He had one great season here, and was solid in the others but I think it just boiled down to needing a change of scenery. Maybe he feels like he can be a different player on a different team. Just because he's scoring with the Bolts, doesn't mean he'd be scoring here if he'd stayed. I liked Flip, and if he could have been the player he was in 11/12 every year he would have been worth that 5 mil here. He wasn't, and isn't. That doesn't mean he won't earn every penny in TB.

He was confirmed for the original alumni game when it was supposed to take place last year. The lockout took a s*** on everybody, and now we don't know if he'll be playing this year.
