Love this thread! I think people that abuse animals should be prosecuted as if they committed that offense against a person. If that means that cruelly killing an animal earns them a life sentence for murder, good riddance. I am the weird person that will eat all the black jelly beans that others leave behind. -

Sad. He could have signed with the greatest team in the world (no bias) and *earned* a top six spot. Instead, his NHL career looks like nothing more than an experiment right now. He is definitely NHL caliber, but overplayed his hand in a really bad year to do so. It's his agent's job to know that.

The buffalo in the logo looks like it got drunk and fell over, or like it's falling out of the sky and is going to land on the sabres. I don't mind the back of the jersey at all, but it seems like whoever was creating it took a s*** and died before making his way to the front thus leaving the rest of the jersey to be finished by his 11 year old niece. No offense to 11 year old girls, most of whom could probably design a better jersey.

This was one of the first ones suggested on twitter as well; Ayron pointed out that the song has a bit too much "baggage" to be appropriate. I had completely forgotten that the song was by Gary Glitter. I myself am also a fan of the individual players' goal songs. I think it's unique and fun, although I can certainly understand the appeal of having a song that invokes utter rage in opposing teams' fans the way that Chelsea Dagger does for us...

Wow, you've got issues. You don't remember the 2009 game 7 because THERE WAS NO 2009 GAME 7! The Wings won the Stanley Cup in 6. Lidstrom retired with 5 rings, and all was right with the world. I'm sure many here remember it the same way. -

The misconceptions most Americans have regarding Detroit are staggering. I've had to deal with it a lot here since the bankruptcy was announced. I've taken every opportunity to school people but it still gets me heated. Detroit is like family--I can talk s*** about it but god help anyone outside of the family that talks s*** about it Love that city. Always hustles harder. -
