As my negative post win streak has ended, you will all be pleased to know that I have completely switched up some key parts of my routine to start fresh and ensure against a loss. I don't have a great feeling about tonight, but I hope they'll come out pissed and split the games in Anaheim. I'm REALLY nervous about the ice conditions tonight. Someone in the last GDT said it looked like they were skating through semen, and although I lol'd I think that description is scary accurate. I know they had a concert there last night, so I fear the ice could be even worse for tonight's game... LGW!

I thought so at first too, but there was one particular angle that NBC showed that made me cringe. It showed the skate dragging across the shoulder and then connecting with Howie's mask, knocking it sideways. My instinct would be to flop away from that too. I pretty much agree with everyone here-clear penalty, time served. I'm not a Perry fan, but what he did wasn't suspension or fine worthy. Although I would love to see him have to eat a bag of flaming dog poo, I will settle for watching the Wings (hopefully) beat the snot out of the Ducks.

I was just going to post this lol! I'm loving the 7:30 start time out West, means I don't have to sneak out of work early!

Nothing specific, I just have to continue doing whatever I superstitiously feel made the Wings win their last game. I will continue doing this until it results in a loss. This carries over into the playoffs. For example, this last stretch of games it is the ridiculous negative posts in the game day thread. There was a stretch in the mid 90s where I had to give my dog a bath every game day, which was miserable for both myself and the dog. There was another stretch when I was in college where I couldn't eat all game day, but had to drink a six pack of beer during the game. Couldn't start before the game, had to finish the last beer before the "final minute" announcement. I might also add I was 5'1 and weighed about a buck five. Oh, the burdens we carry for our team... Edit: I also continue a tradition started by my dad in the early 90s that is terribly annoying. Every time we got a power play he would say "we get pp" in his best Russian accent. So...yeah. I still do that. Very quietly. Unless I'm alone, at which point I turn into Ivan Drago.

Why mess with a good thing... Wings get swept in the first round. Too many rookies with no playoff experience and a lack of toughness for the physicality of the playoffs. Our vets are old and decrepit, and Daniel Cleary sucks worse than that Danny Cleary guy we had last year who played on one knee all season. Unless Z's beard takes over scoring responsibilities, our Captain will burn out and his production will drop just like it always does. He's consistently inconsistent, and Dats can't save him from himself because he's too busy banging chicks and partying with Kaner. Mule is the only constant on this team, that man goes out every shift and is the definition of "compete." I dare anyone to name an athlete that works harder, but the reality is he can't carry this whole team because that's just no fun. Howard is average, blah blah blah, something about Quincey sucking, soft Euros, too many rookies/vets, did I mention Daniel/Danny/Dan Cleary sucks, Babcock's a s***ty coach, Holland worst GM ever...
