***this just in*** Former Red Wing Kirk Maltby has just shot down a corporate jet over Lake Michigan registered out of the greater Pittsburg area with a Russian military-spec shoulder fired rocket launcher. At least it would be a big middle finger to the East. I'd personally like to see him on a line with Dats and Bert. I know it sounds odd, but I think Bert still has a knack for making some good passes. Plus he's a big distracting body, so he might draw some attention away from a streaking Jagr....if he's still able to streak. -

With the potential/talent of Kessler, Burrows, and the Sedin sisters they should be able to make conference finals runs with nearly any NHL tender. I hope the kid does well, but like others have said, if he doesn't put up insane performances this season their fans will call for his head. -
Peace out....hopefully just means more ice time for Helm to bury the biscuit. I also think that the first big name we sign could open the flood gates. If playing with Dats and Z isn't enough for Parise or Suter, maybe adding Semin or Doan to the pile could help their decision. Just a thought.....

Well said, there was a good stretch last season where they were winning 1-0 or 2-1 games. He's a great fix for a sluggish offense (even though they turned it up come playoff time)

Agreed, as long as we can convince a few of them that we can make a run. However, realistically I'd be happy with 2 or 3 of those names joining the squad.

My guess is he stays in Phoenix as well, but if your speculation is true, nothing says loyalty to your financially challenged team like squeezing every last penny out of them during a contract year!

Not entirely serious....I guess I'm still bitter about those good old playoff series we had with them. I'm not disagreeing with Joe's accomplishments, but think Shanny had a longer impact on his teams' success.
