Screw the injuries,Devils were outplayed. We were hitting them, keeping possession of the puck,getting off decent shots. First goal was terrible defense but we need clutch saves. Zajac had gotten his own rebound, skated away from the goal and still had enough time to float a backhander into an empty net. Howard was out of his crease a lot most of the night and just plain flopping around and the dude just doesn't have it this year. 30 more seconds and we aren't 9th in the Eastern Conference.

I think Howard has a serious problem with protecting a lead in the 3rd. It's a dangerous situation out there. He was very out of position. Ni doubt Ericsson has been awful but man this is not good. Come on, guys.

I hate to say it but I'd like to see what we can do at the deadline. We have two aging veterans who still can lead this team and help us win a Cup but our performance since 09 has been pretty disappointing. The fact we are even in a playoff spot at the moment is cause we have some energetic youngsters making us a fun team to watch again. I'd like some right handed shooters and wouldn't mind Kesler to be honest(nothing beats his tumble gifs) and any defenseman has potential of being more productive than our current Lidstrom/Konstantinov version that is Kindl/Quincey. But not sure about cap issues and long drawn out contracts similar to Mule(whom I hope can stay healthy).

Tired of the penalty excuses. Yes I thought it was a lame call for an overtime but the Wings teams that had actual defense and goalies that can make clutch saves would've killed off those types of pps and rallied for big wins. Washington skates faster than Detroit and we have slow defensemen that know it's better to take a penalty than to let the guy go in and put in an obvious goal otherwise as usual with nothing clutch back there to stop it.

Howard,Quincey, Kindl and Cleary for Darren Puppa(wherever he is now)..would be an improvement.
