I see the over hyping of XO has begun. Kindl has been fine and is scoring and we want to trade him. No reason to sit him for a rookie who might be able to match his production. I would like this: Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Franzen Nyquist-Sheahan-Tatar Weiss-Helm-Jurco Andersson-Glendening-Miller We're winning but I still think we need to be better defensively from the forwards and defensemen. Puck movement out of our zone has not been like it was early in the season

This probably gives Jurco an opportunity to play in a top six role with Andersson taking over 4th line duties. I'm not worried about it. Jurco seems to be playing well and Andersson always looks better after sitting a few games. Our 4th hasn't looked like that rock solid shut down line it was early in the year

Right now DD and Smith are iffy top fours. They're almost there but I think next year they will really come into their own. Then we'll be in really good shape. I think a package involving Smith would fetch a really nice top 4 dman though

I thought there was no way Ouellett was getting sent back. This almost feels like the Nyquist situation. Hopefully we don't have to play completely terrible for him to get another call up

Yeah that's an awful defensive group ^^ lol 3 rookie defensemen would have to have Calder calibre years for us to even make the playoffs. You should watch the oilers they make the roster decisions you'd like

We'll never get rid of Kindl if he's always scratched. He's not hurting us right now either. If it wasn't for his remaining years on contract there's no doubt a team would want him at the deadline. Still skeptical. Most teams would want a shut down guy on their bottom pairing. Maybe some team that has PP and scoring trouble. Idk tough sell

Wow that's a shocker. I don't see a lot of teams being interested in Kindl unless he's thrown onto a package deal. He's been decent all year but Ouellette seemed like an upgrade at least. This has to be showcasing for a trade or Kindl's last chance before getting waived? I'd rather waive Lashoff. All this work to showcase Kindl and send a deserving player back to the minors for a late pick if we're lucky. We're better off holding on to Kindl and using him as a 7th d man

Wonder what the defensive pairings will be with Smith back. Ouellette played fantastic last night playing with Kindl. I would love to see Smith-Ouellete pairing allowed to free wheel. Ouellette seems pretty aggressive jumping into the play and going to the net, something Smith has been reluctant to do.
