I just don't think they're ready yet. I like both of their games they have been outplaying the their match ups most of the time just not ready to be a consistent scoring line. Which is totally understandable. Still very young

He seems more defensive minded this year. Playing against 3rd lines can give him and Jurco a chance to get in a groove offensively

Jurco and Sheahan look good but not top 6 caliber. Good 3rd liners with upside

Abby plays well with Datsyuk. He's do more good than harm I say. But yes, we need Franzen back for this to work. I think with all the juggling already by babcock we'll see some nice looking lines. Causes a lot of confusion tho

This lineup makes way too much sense for babcock Nyquist-Zetterberg-Franzen (How are you keeping this line apart. Every second they've been together they've been great) Abby-Datsyuk-Tatar Jurco-Sheahan-Helm Miller-Glendening-Andersson Later in the year Mantha will be the first call up. Any winger in the top 9 falls to injury either Jurco or Helm move up and Mantha steps in to play with responsible line mates with sheltered minutes.

I don't understand why a 24 year old wouldn't be able to adapt to a new system on a much better team. I believe we can swing this deal w/o Larkin btw but some people act like they wouldn't take this guy for free. We've seen Babcock before our very own eyes, change several players careers/styles around why couldn't he with a young guy who has been blessed with all these great gifts from god. The guy of course has some risk but that's why he would be cheaper. You just know if he goes to Anaheim he's going to be great a la Bouwmeester

You guys are crazy. The guy is only 24 years old with an elite skill set. He put up big points the only year he was on a competent team. Most our defensive prospects don't even get into the lineup until his age Our offensive output from the blue line has completely flat lined. Power play is losing us games. We arent in a position to keep passing on young, huge, Right handed offensive defensemen. What other option do we have? Wait 3 years for Sproul to break into the league and hope he puts up Calder numbers

Great news. I really think we will eventually get Tyler Myers. If those comments were true about Larkin and Kindl being refused then maybe Buffalo would be interested in Helm + Nestrasil + Kindl. I don't think Myers has the value of the 15th overall pick and Buffalo will realize that so we can make a nice deal.

It seems everyone is buying into Babs system and playing great team defense. If we can add a better puck mover then we get better offensively and defensively. Also the defense needs to contribute offensively. There's no reason for us to be bottom of the league in power play and defensive scoring Smith Kronwall/DD Kindl/Quincey Ericsson

I like being stingy defensively but we are barely averaging 2 goals a game. That's not winning hockey. I think it's a matter of getting the right line combos but alas we'll have to get shut out/beaten miserably for babs to make a change. Still waiting for those defensive pairing change to stick for longer then a period. The most frustrating part is it's the lines/pairings the fans have been screaming for and we finally get them, see instant success and they get changed

I'm sick of watching this team trying to circumvent the massive hole on defense. Make the trade, lets get better and start addressing other needs. Been looking for a top 4 puck mover for four years now. Our defense is beyond inept offensively and the power play is costing us wins.
