I can't wait for the day to come when I wake up and hear Holland has traded for a top 4 puck moving defensemen. Our defense has been fine. We shouldn't be losing games where we give up 1 goal in regulation. Adding an offensive dman should help with some scoring but this team has need a legit winger for a long time as well. We're not going to get many more points from games we score 1 goal in

I can see Thornton getting moved early in the season. They stripped him of the C, makes way more sense to do that because you plan on moving him other then because you just want to knock your own player down a notch

It's just Franzen saying he's not ready. Franzen is just a guy that will choose to sit every once in a while when most people would just play through it. If this was a game that mattered he would play. I'm sure there's some sort of pain but your average hockey player is playing with some sort of nagging discomfort

You do whatever it takes to get him to stay. One thing that goes overlooked is babcocks development of these young guys. I don't think just any coach would have all these rookies stepping up, playing hard, smart and making an impact in such a short time and I would love to see what he can do with Mantha
