Holland has signed Ian White, Kyle Quincey, Carlo Coliacovo, Brian Lashoff since Lidstrom, Rafalski and Stuart have left. That's sad. Just a complete failure. Who is he going to sign once Franzen, Datsyuk and Zetterberg leave. This really scares me. Holland hasn't made a single good deal in 3 years

I think Franzen's 25 goal seasons are behind him. I can only see him getting worse from here. This team going forward really scares me.

Dats Abby probably dominate in practice and Babs thinks it will work against the bruins. We need to add a prolific guy to the top 6. The chemistry has been stale for 3 years -

Special teams was a complete joke this series. Babs was thoroughly out coached. Team was vanilla though -

It's tough to play 60 minutes against a team finishing their checks and forechecking hard. Some guys looked like they just wanted to hide out on the ice nobody wanted the puck once the bruins ramped it up -

this is one of our offences worst match ups. Small and skilled against Big teams. We can't use the middle of the ice against them. For our top line to really get going franzen has to clear space by going up the middle and driving the net but he won't. We have guys like Abdelkader and Helm that are willing but don't have the same size and strength of the bruins. Holland needs to add a couple of big wingers throughout the line up. Tatar and Nyquist are great and all but you can't have too many small guys in the top 6. Nyquist would get us a lot probably more then tatar and i can see tatar being more effective against bigger opponents as he develops. tatar had his nose all around the net and was winning puck battles. Nyquist tries to go to the dirty areas but was way too weak on the puck. more often then not when the puck hit nyquists stick it was going back to a bruins player -

The way the world really works is we let Quincey walk then go after a top 4 (who we've been searching for for three years) and can't find any that we can afford through trade or overpaid, probably worse than, Quincey FA. Quincey is big, young, physical and was HEALTHY ALL YEAR. Had a great second half of the season. The whole team was a mess the first half Kindl is dreadful in his own zone but is young, big and has good offensive instincts. Also is under contract. Lashoff is not good at anything aside from being big. Nobody is going to be successful in the NHL with him as a partner. He is an AHL defensemen -

I just hope we can take a step in the right direction in the offseason which hasn't happened in the last 3 years. I would resign Quincey tbh or else our Defense is getting worse. Lashoff should not be playing in the NHL. Get Kindl a reliable, smart and savvy veteran defensive partner and I bet Kindl looks a hell of a lot better. The guy has good offensive zone instincts but just a train wreck in his own zone. Lashoff is just a train wreck. -
The problem is that Holland has neglected size in this line up. We have capable top 6 youngsters but we need a big winger or two. Losing Franzen we are shrimps up front. I don't see too many high end power forwards on the market either

Also it's not hard to see why he's not scoring. Look at tape of all his goals they're all around the crease. Franzen's too scared to go to the front of the net against the Bruins. I'm seeing a guy who wants to win and compete hard but is not willing to pay the price. He needs an early goal in order for him to be engaged and do what got him his contract in the first place

Franzen has 11 playoff points the last 3 years. Scored 1 goal the last 3 months of the year until our eventual elimination. Those 5 goals in 7 games is a streak he should have gone on 4-5 times in a year not once. Gus has 23 goals in 28 games. Now that's a real streak that got us into the playoffs, not Franzen's 5 goals in February

Smith has been outstanding. Looks more like a top pairing guy then Ericsson ever has. Our first line pairing should be dynamic and able to make plays offensively. I'd give Smith that spot see how Ericsson looks playing with DD cause that could be a great shut down pairing -

I hope Dekeseyer can make a jump and be a more dynamic defender. He's looking like Ericsson 2.0. Smith has been outstanding, hope he can build on that. I hope the kids get some motivation from this and hit the weights hard -

Apparently it takes Ericsson 3 months to return from a broken finger. At least Franzen plays the game still while taking an early vacation -

Howard sets the tone of the game in the first period in back to back games and our special teams are as bad as it gets at an NHL lecel -

Franzen has been good. Alfie is definitely playing hurt and should sit. Nyquist, dare I say, doesn't look very good at all these playoffs and Dekeseyer his been on the power play and I don't think we've gained entry once the puck has hit his stick -

Game should have switched momentum to us if our power play wasn't a complete chud. Giving momentum to the other team on every single power play is worse than having just a bad PP -

Power play blew this game big time. Guys like Alfie should sit if they're hurt because we can insert some speed in his spot
