I would trade the pick. Holland is going to have to get creative to get a high end guy on the blue line. I'm sure Trouba would be absolutely thrilled to be playing for the wings as their future #1 too Having said that I don't think the deal makes much sense for Winnepeg. This is easily the worst defense group in the league I'm personally more excited about selling off assets and seeing how Holland approaches this rebuild than when we were squeaking into the playoffs. Once we get some blue chip prospects in the system it will be a lot more interesting watching this team. Right now this is the worst hockey you are likely to see all year. I actually watch a lot of Coyotes games and they play a much more impressive brand of hockey than the Wings. It's pretty hopeless right now but Holland isn't a complete fool. He did what he did to preserve an impressive streak in all of sports. It's over the team is bad now we can take a new approach

At some point, us as fans gotta ease up and relax and just buckle in for a long rebuild. Having a sense of humor will go a long way I mean aside from the huge amount of player turnover the personnel running this franchise for the last 10 years has been absolutely dismantled. It is what it is. I personally only watch for AA, Mantha and Zetterberg and laugh at the rest

A second year coach that should be worried about his job security wouldn't be teaching lessons to young players at the expense of the team. I think management has decided that player growth is more important than team success. Let's admit AA, Mantha and Larkin are far from perfect top six players and if they develop in high end, balanced players than it was all worth it. I mean the team needs to rebuild, this is what losing feels like. If the team rode the youngsters through ups and downs then maybe a guy like Mantha has a stat line like Sheahan one year. Wouldn't be good for a young player

Honestly, it would make a lot of sense if thiis team was secretly embracing the tank. I won't be cheering against the wings and I hope for them to win every game but it's time to think about draft position. This team has performed like a bottom 5 team all year I don't think theirs some magic switch they can turn on. I just hope for good games from the young kids
