Bertuzzi needs to go on LTIR

That line should be able to be productive but all evidence has shown that it won't. I wouldn't put both Tatar and Nyquist in the top 6 but you could swap one or the other What about Abby-Weiss-Tatar?. Problem is nobody is very good at controlling the puck. We need to trade like 4 useless bottom 6ers for an effective bottom 6er it would make the lines look a lot nicer

Trading some dead weight would do wonders for this team. The old men have got to go. Guys like Bert bring down Datsyuk and Zetterberg for the sake of putting him somewhere he isn't a liability. Which is ridiculous. A line of Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Franzen could match up and out score anybody come playoff time I believe. All the components are there for good secondary scoring but could get roasted by a team like Chicago and LA

Weiss doesn't fit anywhere on this team. He really should be a center but with everybody healthy he's our 4th best center. I don't usually like front loading the top line but just for the sake of putting everybody in a place to succeed I would go with this Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Franzen Nyquist-Helm-Alfredsson Tatar-Weisse-Bertuzzi Miller-Andersson-Andelkader

Bert's a fourth liner PP specialist. I'm sick of him dragging down our top 6 Miller-Andersson-Bertuzzi big bodies that can grind teams down. Pretty slow though. Bert needs to adapt to this role and be effective or he can retire. He's a good guy to have on the roster that would be a fun fourth line

I don't think there is anything wrong with Helm on the second line but he would need more fire power on the wings for it to be a good second line in the NHL. Helm is capable though. I think Babs is obsessed with keeping Dats and Z together because they have spoken about how much they like playing together. Which is all well and good but for the good of the team it makes more sense to have 2 legit lines. They probably said that because there wingers are often Bertuzzi, Abdelkader and Cleary which is ridiculous. These line are productive despite these players IMO

Also travelling to two cities and injuries to a lot of key players lol. This is not the kind of loss to freak out about they'll be other ones that we can worry about Having said that though I think we played pretty poorly the last 2 games and it could be a sign of things to come. Our losses usually come in bunches but hopefully getting Datsyuk back will jump start these guys motivation

We have actually been pretty decent in back to backs this season. There's no reason to get all up in arms after this loss there was a lot of things working against us. The big picture is this team has won 5 of the last 7 with Datsyuk injured and next game he returns with Dekeseyer not far behind him

He has shown top 6 caliber play this year. Just because he has been known as a defensive player doesn't mean he isn't one of our most effective forwards offensively. His speed changes the whole dynamic of this team. I'm not saying we would have won if he was in the lineup because the boys played very slow and uninspired but don't downplay the god that is Darren Helm. He is probably our 4th most important forward on this team

It didn't look like he hit him that bad tbh. The knee was way worse and definitely intent to injure he should get 10 games

Shows that when Datsyuk and zetterberg is out that Franzen is the only player capable of being a difference maker even though some of them get paid like they are

Kronwall is so stupid sometimes. Struggling to get any offense and he makes that pass instead of shooting

Bert wouldn't make the lineup on any playoff team but he's on our 1st line most of the time

Nyquist hasn't looked phenomenal lately but luckily Tatar has. Grind this out and get the win and then Datsyuk will come back

I meant after 08-09 years this board seems to hold a grudge because he couldn't keep up that pace. No chance he gets bought out, might get traded. Doesn't make any sense whatsoever to give up a guy for nothing. A perennial 30 goal scorer on a team with scoring issues lol. That's the kind of knee jerk reaction that gets a GM canned

Bertuzzi is awful anchoring that line down big time
