Holland won't buy out Franzen just to use his last buyout because he's not retarded. When it's game 7 in the third period Babcock will want Franzen on the ice a lot more than Alfredsson. Cause you know, he's smart. He doesn't hold grudges against players for 3 years because he didn't have an unbelievable playoff run 3 years in a row

What's the point of grading all these players. Would you give a "Are you kidding me?" to Weiss. He is by far the worst out of that list

His stats aren't what is most alarming. The way he looks on the ice is what is worrying. I wouldn't be surprised if he's acting all pissy because of the way Babcock is using him. He looked like a great player his first 2 shifts of the year than absolutely nothing and since his return from injury and his extra responsibility now has been even worse

Where is the logic in getting rid of your perennial goal scoring leader for nothing. How are we going to replace 25-30 goals a year when we are already in the bottom half of goal scoring

Jesus you're delusional. Did Franzen f*** your mom or something? Without Franzen we are way too small in the top 6. Nobody on this team can play the way Franzen does. He is crucial to our success if you haven't noticed. The problem in our top 6 is guys like Bertuzzi, Cleary and Weiss (when they get put there) and not Franzen If Franzen played on any other team we would be dieing to get him to Detroit. You don't know anything about hockey then cause Franzen was our best forward. Sometimes the stat sheet doesn't show how good a player played

Everyone keeps on being so wrong about Franzen but continue to keep speaking about him. You'd think after you've been wrong so many times you'd keep your comments to yourself. It must be embarrassing. Franzen is a true power forward and the only one on this team. He won't be bought out because holland isn't stupid. Him retiring early and giving the team a 3M cap penalty will be peanuts by that time with the cap going way up. Also considering having a player of Franzen's caliber would usually demand 5.5M see what Weiss was able to demand. His Defense is very undervalued on this board. He's big, strong, one of the best shots and great play maker. If this guy was on any other team he would be some of your guys wet dream to be on this team for 3.9M a year

I think a struggling team would take him for some late round pick. Worth it just to clear up salary. There's a lot of teams that need centers like Toronto

I'm not as optimistic about this game as everyone else I don't think they played very well at all. Could have easily lost this one. That save Gus made was huge as we would have been down 2-0 and still continued to give up grade A scoring chances to an offensively challenged Devils team. 5 out of 6 ain't bad tho! Tatar was a beast. Laid into a few guys and was all over the puck

I think he's hanging his head and feeling sorry for himself. His play is pretty uninspired. I don't know anything about the guys character so idk. It would be one thing if he was running around trying to do things and it wasn't working out but he looks like he doesn't want te puck and he wants off the ice as soon as possible

Glad to get the win but that's not the type of performance that gets you wins most of the time. It would be nice if they waived Cleary and sent Emmerton down so they could bring up Sheahan or somebody Howard should start tomorrow. It would make him feel pretty s***ty they don't trust him enough to play the panthers on the 2nd night of a back to back If he s***s the bed then there really is a serious problem. I think he'll play like he's got something to prove

The old men on this team are just terrible we got a couple rookies showing them up night in and night out
