Howard is playing way too deep in his net. Is it too much to ask to be aggressive but at the same time read plays and not leave wide open one timers. It's one or the other with him and he was still swimming last night

His penalty was so stupid though. You know the refs are looking to give Philly a PP and it was probably discussed by Babs during the intermission. It's in the offensive zone and he falls over and the Philly guy clearly has the puck, you're not going to get it back while you're on your ass and he so obviously hooks him for a good 5 seconds while laying on the ice. And then they score tieing it up to start the period. Babs probably had the same reaction that I did Pointless penalty and terrible timing Other than that Weiss isn't doing bad things all over the ice but he's not generating anything whatsoever. One of the worst PP in the league got 3 against us. It was just one of those games. Howard didn't let in any bad goals but a goalie of his caliber should be able to make a big save here and there. Making 1 big save between the 4 straight and we could have responded. Not being clutch is probably the worst quality in a goalie

Worst signing in the off season. I don't know a lot of teams that have a worse contract currently. Luongo I guess. He's a lot more valuable to his team though

Lol so he never single handedly lost us this game. He definitely didn't do a thing to help us win. Besides tap a puck along 2 feet to Franzen. He hasn't had a shift that resembles a 5M a year player. I wanted to like Weiss and gave him a chance but were 30 games in and is currently sitting on the NHL's worst contract. 7 points a year for 5M and 4 more years. I'm just dieing for him to come out and say something to the media. It would be hard to trade him for a 5th round pick. You have to be a special kind of brutal for that to happen. Lol his retarded penalty is what started this onslaught. Not just taking a penalty but making it blatantly obvious and unnecessary in the offensive zone to start a very important third period where we had to bear down and keep the lead.

Add that to him not being able to stop a thing in the shoutout... Don't even get to see our third shooter when Howard is in net

There was about 8 shots that could have went for goals Howard made good saves on 3 of those. The rest were routine saves. No whiffed on goals but he's not playing like his contract and has rarely played at the level of his contract his whole career

The best thing that could have happened was to not resign Cleary. Then Babcock could make real coaching decisions and stop thinking with his penis

The frustrating thing is almost all of our wins were winnable and at least 4 were games we should have won

I guarantee you Cleary starts in the top 6 on Friday

Blowing leads is on coaching sometimes. Babcock always seems to put our scrubs out at the worst times add that with Howard's determination to lose

Howard is paid like he is always on the top of his game. Which is like 3 games this season. There's no chance this contract won't be an over payment for a long time. He would have to play the best hockey of his life to earn it
