Sorry just getting annoyed by all the doom and gloom in here. Our best stretch of hockey (that we are currently playing right now) of the season has been because of our secondary scoring. Helm, Nyquist and Tatar are having career years. We have a top 6 center in Weiss that should be able to step in and do a serviceable job at filling Z's shoes unless he is in fact cursed. It's not the end of the world and I wouldn't be surprised if they kept the winning streak going. It's only 2 weeks. People acting like Zetterbergs career is over and that's not an exaggeration people are actually saying these things

Something like this can really bring the team together. There's no reason right now to believe that the wings can't keep up pace . The secondary has been doing all the scoring lately. This is just what Weiss needs to prove what kind of player he is. If he doesn't come out flying trying to prove something then he can GTFO We're f***ed then trade him. Nobody will want him because he's bound to miss 7+ games a year as he gets older

I would be worried if he was put on LTIR but I don't think it's as serious as people think. We have a serious cap problem and I don't think management would be overly optimistic at risk of not being able to call up anybody but Emmerton. Datsyuk as well. I think he'll start practicing soon

Quincey is a free agent and won't be resigned. Kindl should be dealt. Smith will be a wing for a long time unless there's a deal we can't refuse. I'm starting to really like Smith.

I think management was just being really careful with Pavel. Right now we don't have the liberty to take it slow I think he should start practicing soon.

Does the buyout have to be used by a certain time or can we save it for a few more years? Can you use it anytime during the offseason?

Why would we buy out Franzen? The guy is playing like a true top 6 power forward and responsible defensively with a 3.9M cap hit. I suppose you'd want Tatar to replace his spot. No coach is dumb enough to do that and certainly not Babcock. I think moving Weiss to the wing will allow him to be an effective part of this team. Then we can save the buyout if Franzen's 3.9M is ever considered an over payment We need a puck moving defensemen. Edler would fit this team nicely then we don't have to play Quincey every night. Great PP guy has put up 60 point seasons and is just now entering his prime. You'd be crazy to not want him on the wings. With his recent performance with the Canucks he would never be cheaper then right now

That's what I'd like to see. I'd like the 2nd PP unit re worked though. Smith deserves PP time. My only concern is Bert's durability. He looks great for stretches but I feel his body starts to get worn down after playing so many minutes every night and he isn't as effective

I can see our PP go down but our penalty kill looks great especially with Helm back in the lineup. Sens have one of the worst PPs in the league and I think they scored 5 PP goals on us in 3 games. That's like half our PP goals allowed lol. We don't seem to face that much 5 on 3's tbh

No good #1-2 defensemen are going to hit the market anytime soon, gotta make a trade. Holland has to make this team a serious contender in the next 2-3 years. I'm 50 percent sure Holland makes a trade for a good d-man this year.

He wasn't getting back on the back check a couple times. I think he's in Babcocks doghouse and rightfully so. He doesn't look to be enjoying himself and I question his attitude towards being used in a 4th line role. If he had a desire to turn things around he'd make the most of his minutes by taking the body or skating full speed. He's just going through the motions

We also have the 3rd best penalty kill in the league and something like 6th on the power play.

Grinded that win out. With Pavel we would have possessed the puck more no doubt. Forward depth is winning us games
