I don't see the point of two of the best centers in the league playing on the same line. Everyone of the top teams have two great centers on the top two lines where there isn't much between them. Put great players together they develop chemistry and do well I don't think it's a Zetterberg-Datsyuk chemistry thing. Abdelkader-Datsyuk-Alfredsson Weisse-Zetterberg-Franzen bottom six is still a disaster but this makes more sense. We have played one good period in 4 games against mostly terrible teams this should be a concerning start to say the least.

Nyquist and Tatar should be playing but I'm not going to pretend that having those two in the lineup is going to make us infinitely better. Our defense is still an issue. If Jimmy or any of our top 3 D-men get injured for any significant time than were screwed. Special teams aren't just off to a slow start they have been terrible for 3 years. How are we planning on dealing any of these useless geezers off this team anyways? Just hope Helm stays on IR and keep Nyquist in the minors until the playoffs start? Ridiculous, what a mess. Cleary has a place on this team but Bert and Sammy do not. No way a team wants these garbage players unless we got hosed and lose something valuable If we can make some moves and have enough depth where Abdelkader-Helm-Cleary is our fourth line than I'll be happy with the forward situation. Defense on the other hand....

Babcock is handcuffing this team. Having a terrible special teams year in and year out, with all the talent on this team, falls on coaching. Being unprepared against a Pheonix team after playing a disgusting game of hockey with 4 days off is a coaching issue. These lines are ridiculous players are being to asked to fill a role that they just can't and no adjustments get made. We were being outplayed from the start of the game to the end and no adjustments were made to lines that were consistently getting scored on and creating no offence. I blame Babcock just as much as Holland for these ridiculous signings because you know he has a major influence. Cleary, Bertuzzi and Saumelsson are brutal signings that have destroyed the growth of this team. What's worse is that Babcock chooses to play these guys every night. Ridiculous

Babcock is not doing a good job at all. Actually hoping for injuries so Babs hand is forced to make the obvious moves. Babs will say we need to be better and make them practice hard but he sets them up to lose games. Special teams have been a disaster for 3 years kind of ridiculous changes havent been made in that area. There should be 1 of Alfie/Bert/Cleary on this team not all of them in the regular lineup. Meanwhile the defense is hanging by a thread. Any injury to Kronwall, Ericsson, Dekeseyer and even Quincey and this team is hooped.

Idk what everyone is talking about I think Weisse has been one of our best forwards. Even if we lose tonight Babcock trying new lines would make me happy. Alfie on the first line is a no brainer

I like Miller as a 4th liner. Miller-Helm-Abby would be a great grind line. Playing on a line with all the penalty killers would help with chemistry killing penalties too. Abs with Dats and Z makes me hate him but I would love to watch him smash people and create energy on the 4th line

I don't see any point of having Abdelkader on the first line he doesn't win any board battles and he can't shoot or handle the puck. He's an obvious 4th line hit everything type player that we need but because of Babcock he will be forever regarded as a top six forward. That line has success despite him.

Babcock isn't doing a good job these first 4 games. These lines are pathetic. Last year the wings success to end the season I think was in despite of the lines and Babcock really. Special teams have been awful the last 4 years and star players numbers are declining big time

I think Alfie will play the majority of his time on the first line. Just gotta wait for Babcock's stubbornness to subside

Tatar shouldn't be in the lineup unless he gets decent minutes on the third line with powerplay time. Tatar will get his shot whether it be because the power play can't get it together or our bottom six stays a disaster. I really don't like Abdelkader on the first line. Abs could be great bottom 6 grinder that our team desperately needs. That and simplifying his game helps him out and our team. Maybe Holland and Babs are trying to showcase him for a trade? I'd rather see Cleary, Bertuzzi and even Samuelsson up there.

Let's be real Tatar isn't a much better option on the 4th line than Samuelson
