Depends on his play, I would harp on him less for sure even if he still can't play defense next year. The thing that bothers me so much about Smith is that the whole defense stepped up big time for these playoffs and he took a step down from his regular season which was terrible in the first place

When all else fails blame Quincey... Quincey has been great and breaks up plays left and right imagine him with a competent partner. Smith puts himself in positions to turn over the puck over constantly. I'm not saying trade him I know he will be a great player but he's making us lose games and I would like to see how Kindl handles the top 4 role. Babcock has this rattled rookie in our top 4 that can't seem to lose his spot no matter what he does. Also, I think white would surprise a lot of people just like Colo sometimes you need a fresh face

Ya I think the wings used up all their luck this series too many wasted opportunities it's a tough pill to swallow but still thrilled how they performed in most of the games these playoffs

Our top 6 is in shambles we have only been successful these playoffs cause our bottom 6 have been playing out of their minds. I wouldn't mind bailing on all of Cleary, Flippula and Franzen. Sign at least one impactful player and we can get by the same way we did this year. It will really show how little these guys contributed to our success next year when we have our young guys replace them and put up the same numbers. Get rid of those three, sign one competent top 6 and promote a few youngsters and we will have the same offensive output.

Haven't watched any of this series but seems like LA is putting up like 16-18 shots a game. Is Niemi being a sieve or did Quick steal this series?

A rookie defenseman that is struggling to play defense should be on the 3rd pairing getting less minutes. That's the part that bothers me about this whole situation

I think Quincey has been great. All of our defenseman have stepped up aside from smith. The pressure is really getting to him he looks so nervous and uncomfortable I don't think it's good for his development to be playing in a top 4 role. I honestly feel bad for him but he's making us lose so I'm starting to resent him

I still think your record with elimination on the line is a telling stat I always keep track of it during the playoffs.... I just won't call it elimination games anymore I thought everyone considered it the same

Power play was good though you have to get chances at the least we could have built off it but then our second unit came on... I can't help but keep thinking of when Abby deflected that shot on goal and the puck sat in the slot for a while and he swept the puck away to the corner

I consider it an elimination game either way not do or die but still with elimination on the line. So you think last year LA didn't play a single elimination game?

He's played like 12 NHL games. I'm reserving judgement for DD. Going into next year our D is still up in the air. The potential is there just a matter of putting it together
