Talking about when players return

Gotta trim the fat at the deadline with all these forwards. Tatar and Andersson need to stay in the lineup Filppula-Datsyuk-Samuelsson Franzen-Zetterberg-Brunner Andersson-Helm-Tatar Cleary-Abdelkader-Tootoo I haven't heard anything on Bertuzzi I guess the injury is bad so don't expect to see him this year? No clue how Babcock is gonna run these lines hopefully a trade makes it easier

And his bad game in Chicago he hit two posts and was completely robbed by Crawford other than a few ugly plays early on Franzen turned it on halfway through the game

The whole offense isn't showing up but apparently the blame lands only on Franzen... He also is 2 games back from an injury and was playing well before being injured

I know it's only been 4 games but I wouldn't change anything about the D right now. Keeping the unit playing well together is good for their development and add Dekerseyer in the offseason and the defense has enormous potential for the next decade. Impressive Holland managed to rebuild a young defense in the matter of 2 years really. Our offense is good enough right now but they tend to go on droughts. Returning injured players just creates more problems because I think Andersson and Tatar need to stay. Hopefully holland can trim the fat with all our forwards and pick up a player or two with size then were in good shape. This team if healthy can beat the hawks in a playoff series

No need to force a trade or signing. It may not be a popular strategy but I believe Holland is content with being a 5th place team every year because we are rebuilding. This is how the wings rebuild. Just look at how our defense has changed and the future looks very promising. Holland knows we need top end talent and size in the top 6 but just overpaying someone cause they're available is not the right way to do it. Of course holland will inquire about these FA's but if they want too much then we will just have to wait. All the while our prospects become assets. You have to look at the big picture.

Babcock wants to keep scoring depth and size in the top 6. If not size then strength atleast. Most of the good teams in the league have a lot bigger top 6 it's an obvious weakness of ours. What Tatar and Andersson is doing on the 3rd line is good for their development and for the team. Abdelkader has absolutely no offensive ability but he's strong enough to hang with most teams top 6. We're keeping the puck out of our net this way and I think that's what Babcock wants. Flip will replace Abdelkader. Babcock doesn't think Abdelkader is a legitimate top 6 but he is filling in for our injuries he will go back down to the bottom 6 soon enough And honestly I don't have a huge problem with Cleary up there. He's good in our own end and can knock people off the puck and a good cycler. I'd rather be sound defensively with structure throughout the lineup and I'm seeing it these last three games

It makes sense to have depth down the line up. when Flippula, Bertuzzi, Samuelsson and Helm get back we are going to have a serious log jam. Andersson and Tatar deserve to be in the line up sending them both to Grand Rapids while having Abdelkader and Cleary dressed make us a worse team.... Please make a trade holland

Defense has stepped up big time in the last 3 games now the forwards have to... I think team defense was stressed by Babcock and that's why offense has fizzled... Rather lose 2-1 than 6-5

I say our D is good and is going to improve a lot over the years especially if they keep them together. I want a trade for good 2nd/3rd liner that can score.

Lashoff also standing and watching. Both played a great game anyways

Team has been playing good winning hockey lately tho... Our D can play with the best of them. Someone just needs to knockout Babs a and change the lines

Zetterberg has sucked quite hard lately

Crawford made great saves on Franzen those are top shelf quick shots and goals 80 percent of the time

Defense is tight just need some offense

I don't like having small d man... I wouldn't give two s***s if colo and white never play again... Haskins is a better guy to step in if there's an injury or Kindl is playing poorly

MY MOST HATED PLAYERS IN THE NHL 1. Kesler 2. Clowe 3. lappierre 4. Thornton 5. Brown

One thing Cleary does that doesn't get noticed is force a lot of turn overs and retrieve pucks very well. I think he is a really smart and good hitter. He is also a great goalie screener. Pavs works best when his line is owning the puck in the offensive zone. I don't see how you can all complain about what Cleary is doing on that line and be fine with Abdelkader. He is much much worse.

And Quincey has been great since he came back. 1 dumb penalty in two games is all I can fault him for

Cleary is getting it together and can crash and bang on pavs line with a little bit of finishing touch but Abdelkader can't contribute. I think putting Franzen, Brunner or Tatar would work wonders. No offense to Abdelkader but he contributes nothing offensively and I think playing on the top line has bloated his head and makes him think he is above his abilities. He was the direct cause of the sharks only goal. Wings D played tight tonight

Drop Abdelkader to second and give Datsyuk Brunner... This whole Zetterberg - Brunner chemistry is bogus it's just two good players

Gustavsson is pretty solid gonna be a battle for jimmy

Needed the two points after getting hosed last night

Tootoo got a penalty for too hard of a hit
