I think Miller and Ott has more to do with Mantha and AA not being sure if they are ready this year. Next year Miller and Ott will be gone and Helm and Sheahan slide down or Bertuzzi is brought up

Outraged! At this point everyone's mad and the kind of career Pulkinnen and Frk have in the future is irrelevant to them. Look at Nestrasil and Ferraro. I think the common problem a lot of posters have is that they think our prospects are a lot better than they are. Holland has yet to turn down a reasonable deal, lose anybody of actual value or make a bad trade that hurts the future so this cap crunch doesn't bother me annnyways I hope they decide to keep Mantha with the team

Well deserved. The World Cup really showed the respect he has around the league. Everyone that has coached him has spoke about how he puts it all out there every night. Great influence on a young team

I think Ericsson and Kronwall will look a lot better this year in a reduced role. Certainly better than Sproul and Ouellette. I think depth is one of this teams strengths both on offense and defense. What we lack is top end guys

Disappointed in the AA-Larkin-Mantha line. They're pretty bad defensively and maintaining possession against AHL competition It will probably drive people here nuts all season but the Wings may have one of the best 4th lines in the NHL. I know I know it's only preseason

I love how the off-season reports of Kronwall's injury suddenly make him the worst defenseman in the NHL. Pretty safe bet he will still be a much better option in the top 4 then Ouellette and Marchenko

Huge part of this teams success this year comes down to special teams. We're top 5 PP and PK we move way up in the standings last year. Come playoff time it is almost always the difference in a series

Miller-Glendening-Ott is a line the coaches will be watching carefully. Them being good in preseason will be a good indication that they will be the fourth line on opening night

So far it seems like Mantha and Coreau are going to have great camps. Bertuzzi and Svechnikov are progressing nicely, and we are loaded with good depth players

Imagine if Trouba publicly stated he would only sign with Detroit and any other team he was traded to would be a 1 year deal. He'd handcuff the Jets and greatly benefit his soon to be new team. Just daydreaming here I'm sure Trouba would never do this..... 🤔

Well at least they have spoken before maybe spark up some more negotiations. With Trouba not showing up to training camp it makes things a bit more complicated. I doubt Trouba will want to sit out too long, I can see him signing a 1 year deal or something until a deal can be made Sooo if Trouba signs a 1 year deal does that mean he would be a UFA in the summer? What happens if Trouba simply won't sign any deal unless it's a 1 year? If he really wanted to play in Detroit this would be best case scenario
