Ouellete and Marchenko can play in GR if need be and Smith could easily be moved. I think Smith is going to have a big season

San Jose seems like a team always late to the party. They thought size was the most important thing so they go out and get huge now they see defense wins and they go out and get the wrong kind of defensemen

Oh yes I take pride in their being so much homegrown talent on the wings. Holland said he would build through the draft and that's exactly what he's doing minus a few hiccups -

We've consistently had more success as a team splitting up Z and D. I don't understand why everyone is so adamant about keeping them together Btw my opening roster Abby-Zetterberg-Nyquist Tatar-Sheahan-Franzen Jurco-Larkin-Pulkinnen Helm-Glendening-Miller 4th line would be relentless and actually create energy. Plus Helm and Glendening chipping in offensively would be a huge boost

From this day forward no red wing shall wear #90... That's what you get for trying to get around using #19 or #9 Give me a break... Nyquist has scored more goals in the last two years than Tatar plus is a better all around player. I would be happy if we locked him up long term after he played for peanuts the last two years

Howard had an all star season aside from that brutal stretch at the end of the season. I think the league sees him for what he is. A good #1 but too inconsistent

Been saying this for years but Holland must be planning to move some forward prospects for defense. Even if it's for a young guy with potential who will have to play in Grand Rapids.

Not mad we never landed any of these guys aside from Hamilton and maybe ROR if the price wasn't ridiculous. Just would be exciting adding an impact player to this team

Weiss will make a good 13th forward. Can slide him in if there's an injury to a winger or center. Just keep looking for a trade, then if you have to, buy him out next year. Would love to add ROR and maybe package Smith for a pick if we can land Franson or Green

Mantha can't be written off this early. His tendency to play soft/lazy throughout his career is concerning only because he may not have that elite scoring ability but he should at least be a 20-25 goal scorer who can skate, has size and a great scoring touch

I like the speed and tenacity of today's game but the chincy calls and diving is worriesome.

I think the league likes having the 3 point games to keep the playoff races exciting. Stupid but it makes it more interesting down the stretch. We wouldn't have made the playoffs without those loser points
