I may be one of the very few but I actually liked their C with the orca the other jerseys not so much.
-
Well he has - once again - be a spin doctor and that's why he is running to media to make Spezza look bad. I mean if Melynk can't come up with the money sell the damn team to someone who has enough...
-
Just watched the insiders and McKenzie said something like "starting point will be around 6 per and 7 years, expects him to go as high as 6,5 for 7 years" that's a lot of money and time but an option like him won't be available too soon again. So I'd do it if that doesn't work Ehrhoff for 4 years at around 5,5 - 6 per is also a great deal.
-
I don't think Ehrhoff would sign for that it may be the starting price but I guess teams have to up it if they really want him. Yeah, being in on some of teh big names is very nice and emotionally touching but getting them is what needs to happen. The chance to get a guy like Niskanen, Ehrhoff won't be coming up too soon again teams are usually locking them up. Finally we are in a position to take advantage of other teams cap struggles.
-
Feelingwise I think Niskanen is Minnesotta bound and why not he could play with an elite shutdown player in Ryan Suter there, play infront of his loved ones and make out like a bandit. Ehrhoff would be great and Boyle at his age is not a longterm solution so why even bother ?
-
Ah didn't know that, guess I should start looking more at capgeek - sorry for the advertisement - again. I think the Bruins are really screwed salarywise, they have 1,7 million to sign for 4 key players. How are they going to bring back Iggy now?
-
Still can't believe that Pittsburgh is letting one of their best defenders walk without even offering him a contract *lol*
-
Well if it where Stan Bowman yes but Scott? I don't think he is the genius his dad was but yeah it's impressive how they are able to find cheap talent and replace some of their "lower" players. Yeah I think they are going to get around 11 each which is - all things considered - still a discount as crazy as it sounds. Anyway can't wait to see to see Red Bird III landing in Buffalo :-)
-
Frankly more often than not I agree with you, but In this case I have to respectfully disagree for a few reasons: Don't ever underestimate Buffalo and their new moneyloaded hockeycrazy owner - god knows they deserve it - their tank is going well (Bennet, Ristolainen, McDavid/Eichel, Myers...) that's a damn good core to build for the future. There is no way in hell the Hawks are paying both their superstars maximum add to up and you have: 98 !! (7x14) in the bank + playing in front of your family + eichel/mcdavid as your center versus around 84 million on a contender (for now) but you've already won two Stanley Cups To me the decision would be fairly easy and I'd choose option 1
-
yeah but don't get your hopes up to high he could play at home and create and unreal top pair with Surer. I would prefer him too but honestly Ehrhoff is a great choice too look at the way he run the powerplay in Vancouver

Yzerman created 6 million in capspace unbelievable

This is the real NHL not NHL x GM mode.

Call me crazy but I think it might be Iginla and Brodeur

More capspace for Stevie and company amazing

What the he'll is wrong with Avery? Guy has to comment on everything and why slam the city ? For people who love the small town feeling and music Nashville has a lot to offer. He could learn from Spezza he nixed the trade yeah but didn't trashtalk about the city nor its fans. Wear your *** men handbags and shut up Avery. Glad we got rid of that bigmouth
-
With almost 100 mill cash he can buy a limo and sleep in there while they are driving him home -gg-
-
Funny how some fans are worried about Buffalos capfloor now, two words: Patrick-Kane Maximum...
-
Kane and Toews both asking for $12M per year
frankgrimes replied to turbowhistle86's topic in General
*lol* If I'm Toews I'm not going to sign under 11 per -
They can put him into the AHL and voila capspace Snyder cleary has enough cash.
-
Ehrhoff would be a great _"second" price if we don't get Niskanen but like others said Niskanen is a righty anyway can't go wrong with either one both know how to run a powerplay
-
A lot of understandable excitment here nice but keep in mind him being UFA does also mean, he can choose a team to his liking. There will be a lot of teams biding for his services so the Wings will have to make him a great offer. Something like 6 mill for 4 years should get the job done. The best thing is if Niskanen signs with Minny -- which I think will happen -- there is another great UFA target.
-
Wow this came out of nowhere, if we don't get Niskanen Ehrhoff will be a good signing too. Guy really hit the jackpot with his last contract, there will be lots of interest in his services

Which (retired) *non* DetroitRedWings player would like to meet?
frankgrimes posted a topic in General
Inspired by the other which former DetroitRedWings player would like to meet thread, I think having one about the other players would be cool too. Tie Domi I love tough guys and listening to someone who fought Probert so often sounds too good to not doing it. The great one no brainer here this guy is a legend, his records will never be broken and he built a hockeybuzz in LA for gods sake. Semenko talking to Gretzkys bodyguard could turn out a very interesting conversation. sent from a mobile device autocorrections errors are possible! -
