Kings in 6 there are only 2 teams in the west that can stop the Hawks the Kings are one of them obviously Perds v. Ducks in 6 Rinne deserves this

Last year the team took him to arbitration so Danny would have the option to take them to arbitration now, sign a 1 year deal and then become UFA.

No not this year but if he signs a 1 year contract and takes the team to arbitration someone will offer him a better deal that's for sure. To me it doesn't even matter guy is the Wings best and most reliable defenseman and a Michigan kid, especially going forward pay him.

I think the guy has been a tremendous owner, the Flyers basically had a blank check each and every year. Probably the biggest Flyers fan ever. Not only did the Flyers lose a great owner I think the whole hockeyworld has lost a great hockeyfan and an even better person. Owners who aren't in it for the quick buck or to increase the "franchse value" by making business first decisions are the best owners one could hope for, as we've seen firsthand with Mr. I.

Danny D. has been the Wings defender this and last year, if the Wings aren't going to pay him someone else will pretty simple

exactly the guy is not a fourth line player, a fourth liner is an energy guy who provide a physicality , energy and of course hits everything that moves. Anderson isn't that not even close but hey Mantha is big, young with a great shot son of course Amdersson has to play over him, unreal

Nor the next Eichel, Matthews, Laine or Puljujarvi..but thankfully a guy who has so far exceeded expectations in Larkin. I think the Wings should try everything in their power to trade into the top 10 and get either Chychrun or Juolevi.

Well he shouldn't risk his well being too. Hank is one of my favourite Wings but let's be honest here thanks to injuries his prime was cut short and his decline is sadly and I hate to admit that almost too fast. If the Wings can ease to load on him, play the guy on the Wing and or as a 3 line center I think he could be able to pull out three more years but if not he's probably done as an effective player. Is he going to retire and walk away from 20 mill? I highly doubt that no sane person would do this. But man has Kenny cut his work out for him this summer, 1. find a number 1 defenseman 2. a superstar 2 way center and 3. prepare for the post Z era - kicking the tires or looking for a hockeytrade finally won't cut it anymore some packages and UFA signings will be needed because there is no way the Wings are going to be able to fix all of that internally, especially not the defense.

All I can say is there aren't enough words, pictures or videos to sum up how much joy I've been having watching this guy make other NHLers look like beer league players for over a decade now. Also loved the way he conducted himself, Pasha could make you look stupid and flatout amateuerish but he never ever did some over the top celebrations, sometimes it looked like he would just prefer to go back to the center ice win his faceoff and do it again without making a big deal about it. Pasha you will be missed, all the best in Russia and hopefully you'll bei n the HHOF one day god knows you deserve it.
