Not threating players like garbage Not trying to a fight a room full of hockeyplayers including McGrattan, Engelland, Westgarth Not having your top 6 guys playing like grinders without any sense of offense Not publically embrassing yourself by calling out your team Not being suspended for acting like a monkey over and over again Not playing favorites over much more deserving guys because a player isn't a "Torts guy" (which nobody really is guy doesn't like anybody on the ice) list goes on and on...guy would be a great soccer, basketball coach but hockey not so much with his antics As did CRC and he did on a budgetteam although that was one heck of a team I mean Niedermayr + Pronger on the backend...

Finally Wings get to watch McDavid. -
If I were a Bluejackets fan the first question: what have we done to "deserve" you? That guy can't coach and control himself. Jesus Christ how do you hire Tortarella instead of Rany Carlyle, Guy Boucher or John Stevens? This just doesn't make any sense to me I give it a few weeks tops before players are starting to tune him out and unite in their hatred for him.

Teams you didn't expect to still be winless

Absolutely shocked by their start I know very early but they are digging themselves into a big hole already. To me this signals that the team has turned out the coach when you have Jenner, Saad, Johnson and Johanson you can't be that bad! Bobrovski looks shacky -

Enjoy it Reaves is going to wipe the floor with you and Price come Tuesday. I hope the Wings remember all that the next time and maybe just maybe play with some hatred and intensity. -

can't believe the start Columbus had they should be so much better. I am happy for McDavid guy has 3 points in 5 games now so the media can stop asking an 18 old of all people the same question day in day out. -

I always read about the great prospects coming up who other than Mantha really has top 6 NHL potential? Also are people serious? A fat overweight defender in a contract year? No thanks the Wings need a top pairing guy something they've needed for years now Green can run the PP but as a 6 per guy he should also be able to help out Kronner instead of needing a 24 year old Danny D. to cover up his mistakes. People can crap on Ericsson all they want but he prevented that goal by taking a penalty. And who cares how many shots they have last time I looked at it, goals were winning the game not the amount of shots taken. The most disturbing fact about the game wasn't the loss it was the fact that the team didn't play angry after that s***ty goal counted...other teams would have made life hard for price It's 5 games in and Blashill is new like I said before the season the guy will need some time to figure things out. Also for the so called hottest team in the league their showing wasn't very impressing its basically Price (on godmode) plus the rest. I also don't think Jurco and Pulkinnen would return a top pairing guy so something more enticing would have to be added to that package. -

most realistic people thought that it will be a grind again with either barely making it or barely missing the playoffs -

these 3 clowns are so bad typically Rogers show coaches corner you morons Not a betting man but if roles were reversed a Wing would have had an in person hearing for running price but because it's vise versa the little frog gets away with it f****** bulls*** if that's the call that turned this game around it will be open season in every goalie this year -

Time for some french fries cooking tonight. Find a way to screen Price will be key. -
I would happily trade that (very impressive) streak for 3 cups in the last few years but that's just me. There are many ways to get fans excited but lets be honest this team was so much more exciting to watch because we've had outstanding players and the whole pack-mentality. If the opponent wanted to play a skill game the Wings would happily oblige, if the opponent wanted to go the heavy game road the team would do that too and while doing so still dominating by fighting and hitting everything that moves - such an allround total package team is just much more exciting to watch and this has nothing to do with being spoiled it's just the reality. I'm willing to bet the Hawks will find themselves in the exact same spot once their stars are hitting the end of their prime (although that's still years and years away). I mean what do other teams think when they have to play the Wings of today? Intimidate them play having a heavy game and more likely than not you are going to win...try that back in the days and we all know how that turned out for the opponent. With all of that said I still think the new arena needs to open with some sort of a bang but try to generate more excitment for the team again.

http://www.tsn.ca/mlse-signs-landmark-deal-with-draftkings-1.372238 That's so disgusting after all the crap Leaf fans have gobe through they are now exposed to the next wave of online poker called daily fantasy sports. Legal experts aren't stupid they 'll soon figure out a way to close that loophole in the law.I mean how can betting money on a daily basis on real people's performance not be considered gambling? Injuries, illnesses and just not feeling it are always an X factor that will change on a daily basis. So the NHL itself is against gambling but has invested into Draft Kings...wow. Goes to show how high the so called standards are...such a joke. Really great timing after stuff like this http://www.vox.com/2015/10/6/9465873/draftkings-fanduel-fantasy-sports-scandal

Wow that's nice did they pay it out or were the some cuts in order to get the money?

Pittsburgh because I didn't expect Boston to be as good as they used to be. Pittsburgh is absolutely shocking I mean Crosby, Malkin, Letang, Maataa, Fleury and Kessel and still only loses? Granted it's early but so far things are not looking good for Mike Johnson. Not going after Babcock will turn out to be a huge mistake for GMJR. The other 2 teams are obviously Ducks and the Kings. On paper the Ducks should be a force but man so far they've looked bad but not as bad as the Kings they are looking flatout bad and unorganized. Someone better tell the Kings that points in October are worth the same as points in February, March. But from all the teams I think Columbus is the most likely one to make a coaching change as soon as Boston fires Julien, this team should be much better they are healthy, young, mean and Bobvoski is usually not a bad goaltender so. -
http://www.tsn.ca/stamkos-gets-500th-point-bolts-best-bruins-1.375742 Atta boy Stammer that's a huge milestone and with his dedication to fitness I could easily him reaching 1.000 points in under 900 games played. Saw his onetimer against Boston, all Rask could see was a blast landing behind him. Wonder if there are still people thinking this guy isn't worth the maximum?
-
I'm against the daily version of it because I think it has nothing to do with skill and is just a gambling loophole. I mean year long leagues with a one time payment are a different thing but Draftkings and Fanduel are operating in a very grey area.

Steven "Stammer" Stamkos hits 500 points in 495gp
frankgrimes replied to frankgrimes's topic in General
exactly I remember his first year and some geniuses calling him a bust...The Stammer development basically sums up Melrose as a coach lol -
Because it's a fictional league but it's based on the performance of real sports-stars.
